Hey guys, Given that we just had a small content/patch release with Bloodlines, and RMR shortly before that, is it know when Kali is likely to be released? I believe it stated second quater of 06 in the features section... is it likely to be released before June?

Januari is my guess.
It of course depends on how you look at it; the first patch named kali or all of the planned Kali content? -------

It would be better if CCP waited until AFTER new years.
RMR nerfed gameplay during the holidays, ruining what should have been a lot of playtime.
Many, if not most of CCP's customers have extra time off around the second half of December.
Every last so-called upgrade I have been through caused problems for a month or so.
Don't ---- our holidays again, CCP, thank you.

Edited by: Wanoah on 23/03/2006 01:26:35 I really hope that they opt for an ultra-cautious 'done when it's done' attitude for Kali. Factional Warfare, as a feature, is an absolutely huge thing to be introducing and has a lot of potential to really break the game even more spectacularly than the level 4 agents did for the first few months.
I think I prefer progressive changes rather than big bang patches overall. It means we're not faced with that combination of long downtime, big patch download, and overwhelming numbers of issues.
In many ways, I'm not too fussed about Kali's arrival. We've got all the ships and stuff we need - too much you could even argue, and the game is thriving. I'd like to see the contract system and corp improvements being phased in, but FW I'm more nervous about than excited.
Edit to add: Please consider giving us more time (and ability) to test and feedback the new stuff on the test server.

i belive ccp original strategy was to deploy a "big" patch every 3months (or was it 6months?)
bloodlines = YAWN
the new server kit made up for it tho, thanks CCP, even tho bloodlines made it kaput
I love x-mas :D |

ITS CALLED JANUARY IN ENGLISH EVERYONES NOT FROM YOUR HOME COUNTRY SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND GIBBERISH OK?
Maybe there will be a 'boosters' patch and a 'factional warfare' patch, while only some useless stuff survives into actual Kali.
This time around, I'm gonna try to keep count over how many people asks to have the expansion rolled back and how many threatens to quit playing during the first week after release. -----

SoonÖ (For the official, nebulous Dev response).
We are hoping for a summer '06 release. No definitive release date has been set at this time, so I cannot get any more specific than that.

Is that even possible? I thought Oveur was immune to the mind altering effects of Alcohol due to him consciously building up an incredible tolerance. I know he was agonizing over it

yes... in the 31st of feburary most likely
honestly, the day when EVE releases an expantion totally bug-free, is when: - Hell freezes over; or - Burn Eden decides to scrap their T2 WCS bpo (pun intended, don't take it too seriously ; or - When something wrong someone finally doesn't say "Blame Grimpak(tm)" ----------------
