So you have an optimal of about 1km, max operating range of about 5km, move like a fat pig, have no cap, and do about 150DPS. Color me unimpressed

With that setup you have enough cap for about 1 cycle of everything.
You'd need more than 1 small nos in your highs if you ever going to think of doing something with that setup...

Maybe not as bad as people point out, as those are frig sized blasters. Personally I'd train up to use Energized Adaptive Nano IIs and those armour compensation skills to level 4 at least. Then fit 3 of those and use a low slot for a cap relay. I'd also fit a NOS in high. With Energy Management and energy systems at level 5 you'll have more cap, just a shame that that bonus is wiped out by using the MWD. I've had used a similar fitting, but without the MWD and using Med Pulse IIs and it works pretty well as an inty/frig/AF trap.

Yesyes, the only other gun you should really mix up with a Maller is the "Autocannon" or the "Arty". The reasons why are pretty self explantory. Maller has what the highest PDU output than all the other cruisers. This leaves more support for the "Arty" than lets say a Rupture. The damage lost from the bonus of the rupture can be re-applied from the nice low slot layout of the Maller. As well give you more tanking with the Maller over the Rupture.
Another is the "Autocannon". Well lets face it, Maller has more PDU so fitting one of the lighest damaging guns in the game will benefit it more being it's not sucking as much cap to shoot as well giving you more tanking abilities than laser. There is no damage bonus on the Maller so you're not really losing much DPS compared to other gunnery. The only problem with autocannon on a maller is you lose any falloff bonus or any extra damage bonus which really boosts the autocannon better. Yet it's still a great stock gun and I use it on the Maller regularly. Due to that, I can fit heavy tanking options with a nice gun rack and still put down people just as easy if not better than my laser specs.
Go Amarr or Ammatar never go umm Galantar?
