While I doubt CAIN would accept my, or The Wild Geeses help, I would still appreciate it if they would let me know if I can do anything to help. It's not an issue of me liking CAIN, it's an issue of unprovoked declarations of war.

Trash talking is not my definition of provocation. Something substantial like destroying a defenseless hauler or a mining barge, that's a provocation. Enroaching upon your territory, that's a provocation. Angry drunken pilots hurling insults is call for a duel of honor, but not an act of war.

I don't think they will, but what ever.
In fact I expect less from them than our last war where our opponent actually did have fleet with battleships, hacs, interceptors unlike CAIN fleet that only seem to exist in their heads.
My only regret right now is that I didn't inform Sarchez in time that I will be busy couple days elsewhere, but don't think that I will miss much as I doubt that imaginary fleet will appear any more real than it did before.

If all it took was an imaginary fleet to keep you bottled up in whatever stations you could bribe your way into sheltering you last time, it would seem silly for us to spend millions of ISK on actual ships to do so again. Unless, of course, you are merely spewing propaganda -- if you think this conflict will help you save face, make people think you are anything more but a bunch of petty crooks, you and the rest of the Rogues are sadly mistaken.

Oh no! What shall we do?
Clearly CAINf has been too much of a pain in the arse for them so they wanted to get up close and personal with us at first given opportunity. Also, since they're suffering losses of their nice and shiny T2 fitted vessels, they wanted to bring some softer targets into this so they can feel all manly again.

CAIN Foreign Auxillary is clearly a wing off CAIN itself. Atleast now Concord won't interfer, when you attempt to bring them into the fray, by locking our pilots during combat. A pitifull tactic if there ever was one.

Surely seasoned pilots like yourself won't fall for that? Can't blame pilots for showing a healthy interest in the status quo of an ongoing battle.
Our path was chosen when we signed up. It's not something we choose at a whim. Did the Rogues really believe we'd merely sit and watch?

Your attemps to involve concord was not. There's nothing new or smart about it - and there is several other tactics that could be considered smart - the black hole one - for instant, but neither of them are found acceptable between pod-pilots.
Should you choose to continue that path - we'd have to re-evaluate if we should use same measures against you. A path we'll not be willingly taking.

The Rogues corporation is a well known Terrorist organization that prays on weaker corporations to force their agenda forward. Their recent incursions into Caldari Space to pratice their brand of terrorism is unacceptable.
CAIN combat pilots look forward to the chance to stop these terrorists inside our Borders. All CAIN and CAINf combat commands have prepared for this new attack into Caldari Space aimed at CAIN.
CAIN has always been a beacon of the Caldari People, and it is obvious why we are targeted by people who would harm the State.
The Caldari people are a proud and powerful people. The posts of encouragement and support show that when you are willing to stand the line between terrorists and peaceful citzens, you do not have to stand it alone.
Combat operations have already begun and blood as been spilt on both sides. We will aggressively target the Rogues during this new period of hostilies. It also makes us glad that while the Allied Caldari pilots combat this menance, they cannot practice their perverse acts of terrorism.
CAIN looks forward to this new round.

I will be happy to fly once again with you and yours Vendrin. You've proved valuable pilots to the State before and I have no doubts you will once again.
I'd like to thank all Caldari loyalists for their support, but at the same time make it clear that in my own opinion, in no way official, CAIN controls this war and does not call for military support of any kind. I say this to let everyone know that your political and popular support is enough to place you high in my esteem.
That said, any Caldari Corporations that decide that the Rogues menace will come at an end here and now are welcome to fly at my wing. Together we are strong.
I'd also like to give a bit of credit to Rogues. They have hid in starbases or fled at the sight of our Armadas, but in the end it is nothing to hold against them. The CAIN armada is strong and fearsome in it's might and the fact that they have several times stood and fought against it gives them honour.

It appears that there are no more Rogues to fight. Only Sarchez and Danno have remained in the CAIN area of operations, and Sarchez won't leave station if he even catches a whiff of a CAIN pilot.
The only Rogue pilot that has come out repeatedly to fight the war has been Danno. He has perservered despite the destruction of several of his ships. Danno, I salute you. I regret that you lost those two ships to Concord actions. Bad luck there. It would have been far better to have lost them in a real fight. My only regret is that you have suffered these losses for a corporation that won't even fly at your wing.
If the Rogues intend to let this war dec expire, I really wish you'd just call it a defeat, cancel it, and go lick your wounds. Then we can all get back to business.

Unlike LCDR Mattar, I can find nothing but contempt for the like of the Rogues. They have attempted to discredit CAIN at every turn, and when push comes to shove, they do not have the force to back up all their bluster. The Reserve's single largest loss in this war was due to a friendly fire incident that resulted in a misunderstanding with CONCORD, a mistake which resulted in a severe reprimand for the officer at fault. Meanwhile, the Rogues have suffered the loss of at least two battleships at CAIN hands, one in less than 30 seconds before the Rogue pilot was able to retreat back into the station he had been using for shelter -- most likely by bribing the dockmaster. Since those losses on Saturday and the further loss of a Brutix-class battlecruiser on Sunday, there has been nothing but fleeting contact between CAIN forces and the Rogues as they scatter to the winds in the face of our task forces.
With the introduction of CAINf and Apex into the battle, it seems unlikely that the Rogues will change their minds and attempt to return to the fray -- even if they can absorb the financial losses from the destruction of those ships and the array of Tech2 equipment onboard, I doubt their egos can handle the bruising they are taking at the hands of our so-called "imaginary" fleets. Perhaps next time they wish to try flexing their muscle in Caldari space they will remember what the results of their last two wars with us have been like, and find softer targets -- I am sure they will have no shortage of soft-bellied opponents in the Gallente Federation, although I would hope that even the poorly-organized Gallente forces could expel these poor excuses for "Minmatar freedom fighters" from their borders. Then again, their defeat two months ago under the same circumstances does not appear to have deterred them in the least.
As I have done before, I will encourage any corporation -- Caldari or otherwise -- not to give in to their incredibly pathetic extortion attempts in the future. CAIN has proven, yet again, that they have no stomach for a real fight, and if you stand up to them -- or seek help from those who are equipped to do so -- they will move on to easier victims. There may be pirates worth fearing out there -- but the Rogues are certainly not one of them. -- LCDR Svetlana Scarlet Deputy Quartermaster Captain, CNS Redball Express Caldari Independent Navy Reserve |

So let me get this straight, The rouges are mad because CAIN/f and Apex are not fighting fair? Thats good coming from ones who gank haulers ans claim vast combat exploits. As for the "blobage", I think thats more indicative of biting off more then you can chew. ------------------

Made a point? You haven't done anything. Rogues is a suiting name for your corporation. Rogues, always hiding in the shadows -- thats all we have done, chase shadows. Some, such as yourself Plasticman, we haven't even seen.
True Gorion, they claim us to be "blobbing" them. It's not our fault they chose to go to war with CAIN, who is much larger in fleet size. They honestly believe they we are going to tell our officers to stay stationside, while 2-3 or go out to hunt them down. Thats not how a war works. You use the resources you have. That is exactly what CAIN is doing.
They bit way off more then they can chew.

This has always confused me about these "wars" that you fight. You complain when an enemy brings superior firepower to a battle, yet is that not good strategy? Fight the enemy on your terms, not his. Bring every advantige you have to the field of battle. What do you beleive that you are fighting, a duel of honor between gentlemen? This is a war, act like it is. Did the Gallentean Navy hold back from scarring Caldari Prime with superior firepower because the Caldari did not have proper defense against it?
You are Minmatar for Eve's sake! Grow some backbone and fight your enemies with the same tenacity that you opposed Amarr with. Did the Federation support your move to freedom to have you forget how you fought it? If the enemy has more forces, attack where he does not expect it, hit his mining vessels, his support ships, the soft underbelly of his war-machine.
What I mean to say is, stop moaning about how your enemies have too many allies. You declared this war, now fight it!

The first real engagement didn't commence until last night, where we probed your "fleet". It was clear that half the CAIN pilots didn't have the stomach for the fight, and abandoned their wingmen - with the obvious consequenses.
Claiming victory, before real battle has been joined, was never a wise move.
Gorion, you know very few facts about our operations - your message proofs as much. However, I will give you one fact. We don't need Concord to fight our battles for us, so we don't attempt to pull them into any fight. Considering we are nothing but a training excercise for CAIN, we obvously didn't expect them to need such assistance either.
Svetlana, I'm starting to think you have a crush on me - or someone else in the Rogues. I do enjoy reading your messages, so full of emotion.....and courage! Especially when you refer to our previous "defeat" against you.

There has been no complaints, that I'm aware off - but only a comment about it, while CAIN was gathering their allies, so they didn't have to stand up to their bold words themselves, but had somebody to hide behind.
That CAIN themselves chooses to use this strategy against us is perfectly acceptable.

Hide behind who, exactly? CAIN has racked up more kills in this war than all of our allies combined, and in all but two of our engagements we have had no outside assistance whatsoever. And while we seek to proactively engage you, you remain safe in your little stations. Sarchez, you in particular seem to have lost your taste for combat after your Tempest was blown out from beneath you in the first 24 hours of the war. I cannot help but have a grudging respect for Danno, who, even after he is destroyed countless times, continues to be the sole Rogues pilot who consistently seeks engagement. It's almost as though you are looking to him to carry the burden that you, Sarchez, have placed upon your corporation.
No doubt you will wait to engage one of our lone battleships - perhaps a CAIN pilot that has become too complacent - and destroy it. Then, having had 'the last word', you will retract your war and claim "victory".

So the "first real engagement" is automatically the one where you actually manage to destroy one of our battleships -- but the engagements that occurred in the first 72 hours of the war where you lost at least 4 times that tonnage in warships was what? You trying to build up our confidence so we would dismiss you? That is an interesting strategy, if only it actually worked.
Originally by: Sarchez Claiming victory, before real battle has been joined, was never a wise move.
CAIN certainly hasn't been the one shying from battle -- the fact that your number hide in whatever stations you can bribe to shelter you, flee into Jita to hide yourselves in the vast amounts of traffic there, and use every other tactic you can to disappear 90% of the time is a fine strategy, if you perceive yourselves at a disadvantage. One might suggest not proclaiming your great skill and being the instigator of such wars in the future though, if you believe yourselves so outclassed.
Originally by: Sarchez Svetlana, I'm starting to think you have a crush on me - or someone else in the Rogues. I do enjoy reading your messages, so full of emotion.....and courage! Especially when you refer to our previous "defeat" against you.
Please. The Rogues are the worst of the rabble the Republic has bred in the years since their independence. While even the marauders of Ushra'Khan have my grudging respect, you are nothing more than a petty crook, and one with a mouth large enough to swallow the tonnage in ships that any competent force that opposes you shoves down your throat. If you were smart, you would retreat back into whatever foul hole birthed the lot of you and entertain yourself assaulting naive transport and mining barge captains in deep space. Instead, you insist on bludgeoning yourself bloody with your own foot while it is repeatedly shoved into your gaping maw.
While I may have passion in my words towards you and your kind, it is not romantic, it is the pure contempt and disgust I have for your lot.
Originally by: Sarchez I know why Danno smiles.
Do you? Is it because he is constantly left to fend for himself while his "friends" leave him alone to face fleet after fleet of CAIN and allied ships? Even after you have shown that the Rogues have the capability to place a dangerous force on the battlefield, it seems that it is too much trouble for you to emerge from hiding long enough to break a CAIN blockade long enough to let him escape -- an abandonment that has cost him a pair of battleships at the least, to say nothing of the expensive equipment onboard. Why he has any loyalty to you and whatever mysterious benefactors continue to provide you with the millions (or billions) of ISK needed to replace the losses you have suffered is a question which continues to baffle the lot of us.
If he smiles because the Rogues have managed to destroy three of my ships this war -- two cruisers and a frigate, with perhaps a combined value in the 30M ISK range -- then I shudder to think what you would consider a "defeat", seeing as how he traded the loss of a tech2-equipped Brutix for just one of those cruiser kills, with a value of at least 40M ISK. Perhaps it is the smile of the truly mad -- I suppose that would explain why he continues to fly with the Rogues despite your apparent disregard for his well-being.
If this is to be an example of Minmatar cohesion, then I weep for your homeland, because there is truly no hope for the Republic. -- LCDR Svetlana Scarlet Deputy Quartermaster Captain, CNS Redball Express Caldari Independent Navy Reserve |

Declaring self victory after first few days couldn't be more classic. Complaining how Rogues havent engaged when odds were something like 4 to 1 is just funny. Don't take this as complaining and I expect you guys use all available means including your friends in State War Academy.
The fact Danno have engaged your so called fleet alone should tell you how much he think of your "fleet". Not much. That fleet isnt even anything more than handful of ships what I was told.
Some keep saying here how everyone from our previous wars want us dead. You couldn't be more wrong than that. We are friendly terms with lot of them and many thanked us for opening their eyes. Maybe rest of Caldari see it once Amarr start enslaving you too.

I do not think anyone of us was complaining -- merely amused, that after all your bluster about how you would bring our "imaginary" fleet to its knees, you have only managed to kill a handful of ships, most of cruiser-class or less with relatively cheap equipment, while we have destroyed a half-dozen battleships loaded with Tech2 gear. Of course I don't expect you to fight when you are outnumbered four to one. Only a fool would take those odds time after time and think he could win every time. However, you and the rest of your band of rabble should have known what the odds would be like when you declared this war in the first place. I believe this is called "biting off more than you can chew."
Originally by: So'Kar The fact Danno have engaged your so called fleet alone should tell you how much he fears your "fleet". Not much. That fleet isnt even anything more than handful of ships what I was told.
I am told the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. There is a rather large difference between bravery and insanity. His "sacrifices" have served you no purpose, gained you no advantage -- merely made you out to be the laughingstock of Caldari space. But do keep beating your heads bloody against the brick wall -- perhaps some day you will knock yourselves out and we will be free from your constant prattling.
And if all we have is a handful of ships, the fact that we continue to have such a strong combat record against your corporation seems all the more spectacular, considering you are better equipped and presumably more experienced -- although perhaps you are not used to opponents who actually fight back.
Originally by: So'Kar Some keep saying here how everyone from our previous wars want us dead. You couldn't be more wrong than that. We are friendly terms with lot of them and many thanked us for opening their eyes. Maybe rest of Caldari see it once Amarr start enslaving you too.
If that is so, where are your "friends" to speak on your behalf now, when you are not terrorizing them? There is a rather large difference between fear and respect -- perhaps that is a lesson you must learn the hard way.

No offense, Sarchez, but the only pilot that ever seems to be in his pod when most of us are flying is Danno. If you are there, you are kicking back in Jita.
If it's sixguns at high noon you want (ie a fleet battle), perhaps you should communicate directly with our CEO, Cabaeran, and arrange a time and a place. I'm sure between the two of you, you can work out a mutually satisfactory arrangement. Don't worry, we'll be there. When you win, then you can crow on about how great your tactics and strategy is.
Until then, this is all wasted static on the comms. We'll form gangs and chase Danno. He runs around and won't make a stand. Occasionally, he'll make a mistake, and get blown to pieces. Yeah, that's real productive. I'm smiling about it too, the whole time I'm off doing something else without a care in the world.
If I ever see more than two of you in the pods, hell, I might even go get a warship instead of my little old mining scow. Right now, my biggest threat is ore theives. ---

Why exactly should we care that *your* movements haven't been constrained? Wasn't the point of this war to come and "teach us a lesson", to laugh at our imaginary fleets?
So far, you're the ones with the imaginary fleet. Prove your point already, we make no secret of the fact that most of us fly out of Kaunokka, or our base in Venilen. Put up or shut up, come try and blockade us in and see what happens. Or are you afraid to lose more battleships there?

Yes, we hadn't really had much experience fighting people who hugged stations for dear life before that, since of all the things I could say about SERK, saying that they hid from fights would not be one of them.
Originally by: Sarchez Myself included - though I had a cunning plan...that didn't quite worked out as intended. None of your doing though.
So....your losses have not been due to our skill, but your own incompetence? I do not see how that is supposed to make anyone take you more seriously.
Originally by: Sarchez However, our movements has not been restricted in any way. I'm certain your fellow pilots would agree to that, if they look up from mopping the floors, and out of the windows in the REAL navy's stations.
....
As Hal says, we are not the ones that started this war to bring YOU to your knees. We are not the ones spending our time hiding in stations. We have logged many man-hours in space chasing your ships about Caldari space, sitting outside stations and around gates, waiting for our targets to present themselves. If they do not, and you sit in stations, or spend your time inside on the FTLcomm with your friends elsewhere, then so be it. If you are doing that, you cannot run your extortion rackets against other corporations. Our mission is not pointless destruction, but ensuring the security of Caldari space.
Originally by: Sarchez Svetlana - Let me assure you, Danno is exactly where he wants to be, when he wants to be.
I suppose that answers the question I have posed before then.
Originally by: Sarchez You do seem very concerned about isk in your summary of losses - but you can hardly blame us for what ships you decide to bring to a battle.
I am merely amused that you continue to waste millions or billions of ISK for no real gains. If you are mocking the fact that we continue to achieve a string of victories with relatively little resources, while you throw away money like it is going out of style....I do not know what to say to that. But I suppose it does answer the question of whether more advanced technology is enough to make up for a more fundamental lack, either of numbers, skill, or leadership.
Originally by: Sarchez For clarification - I consider a battle to be between several pilots on each side, regardless of the outcome. Anything less, and it's just a skirmish, again regardless of the outcome.
How very convenient that you can define a battle as whatever you like, merely to support your own delusions of grandeur. I wonder how many other corporations share your definition of a "battle," or how many would be so quick to dismiss loss after constant loss in "skirmishes."
Originally by: Sarchez Why would we need anyone to speak on our behalf Svetlana?
I am merely curious how you can claim to have so many very good friends among your previous victims, and yet no one ever seems to give you any words of encouragement or praise. Even the usual Minmatar peanut gallery has remained startlingly quiet over the last few days, once your complete failure to provide anything more than a token amount of resistance was revealed. Perhaps they have decided, as I did quite a while ago, that you are nothing more than a giant gasbag, and await the *pop* that will let all your hot air out, leaving you a puddle of scraps on the floor. Your thick layer of denial appears to require an industrial laser to cut through, however, so I doubt they (or we) will receive any form of relief anytime soon.
Originally by: Sarchez The walk has barely begun.
Really. We are already a week into this war and your losses outweigh ours by at least a 2-to-1 margin, and you certainly have more targets to choose from. If the walk has barely begun, perhaps someone should give you a pair of crutches to help you hobble the rest of the way. -- LCDR Svetlana Scarlet Deputy Quartermaster Captain, CNS Redball Express Caldari Independent Navy Reserve |
