Hello CCP,
i like your hacking of relic and data sites, but unfortunatly it's an unpaying profession. Could you please fix this system so that players can actually do it for fun and earning a bit of cash on the side to buy something every now and then? |

You can make decent isk from it in null sec, specially if you're T3 and do the odd ghost site but even a frig is not bad, some of the sites net you 100mill, that one with all the black rectangles is full of isk.
Data could use a bit of buffage though I think. |

Yeah the crystal quarry is the best relic site. But you will need decent skills to actually hack the cans. We are talking about firewalls that have like 90 cohernece and other nasty things. |

I completely disagree, the amount of isk you can earn in a tech 1 frig with only a small number of skill points is disproportionately large when compared to ratting or mining. I'm talking about null btw. |

i've yet to get a 100mil site. 8mil max per site is what i get, and takes a good hour to find a site in nullsec. |

Yes, nullsec exploration pays a decent amount, though the sale haul can be quite long and tedious if you don't have bridges.
HIgh sec exploration, however, is absolutely terrible. |

Yeah well I have buzzed around your sov space and its pretty busy in terms of exploration. Your best bet is to create a secret neutral exploration alt (to avoid sov politics :) and head down to less populated space. Pure blind is pretty good, quite a lot of unrun sigs to be found south of VFK, pure blind, cloud ring etc. |

But but... but that takes effort and... planning. And you'll have to do it all by yourself; no orders to follow, no one to hide behind! |

Get a T3, put on the nullification and covert sub systems, then go to null. With a little practice of jumping cloaked and so on, you will be pretty much immune. |

Exploration gets expanded and people make isk. Too many people do it and it makes them less isk. Many of these people quit exploration and prices rise, making it worthwhile again for more. More people do it and prices fall.
Working as intended.
If you want exploration to pay better, gank your competition with lots of friends. Do something to make Eve what you want it to be versus asking CCP to make your single player dream work better for you. See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did. |

Its unpaying because it's retardedly easy. So much so, you can pretty much do most any site at the end of week 1 - week 2 at the latest.
If you want to fix it, you need to raise the barrier of entry to higher tier sites. Include progressivly more expensive faction and deadspace hackers/analyzers that have a progressivle higher coherence/virus strength. Make higher tier sites very difficult/near impossible without better, more expensive analyzers. If you want to raise your rewards, you have to raise the risk as well.
Sadly, I'm pretty sure we aren't going to see any exploration changes any time soon, as Team Super Friends is busy cranking out mobile deployables. |

data sites could use a buff.
relics are fine. Its often like 30-40m just for hacking 1-2 cans. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

Dinsdale has a thread in F&I that's got some really good ideas on further iterations to exploration that'll make it like actual exploration. The CSM even noticed and has mentioned it to CCP. It's really worth looking at.

Been doing mainly exploration since 2008 (before scanning was simplified so a monkey could do it) and results in highsec exploration have always stunk. Highsec exploration is only good for one thing: practice. |

Remove all indications from the onboard scanner that anything at all exists in the system you just jumped into. No anoms, no sigs, NOTHING. Make exploration what it should be; exploring the unknown and finding something you didnt know was there.
That's true exploration. This spoon fed version of explo we have now is a joke.

8 mil max per site sounds like HS exploration. In null you can do roughly 200m/hour. In LS haven't done too much since Odissey changes, but I think can be easly 40-50m/hour.
Considering how much the lowered the requirements and skills for exploration in Odissey sounds like a good income.

Exploration used to be pretty hardcore. Now CCP seem to have turned it into the new newbie profession. That is why I quit straight after the Odyssey changes, they made it even more repetitive and boring by removing the DSP and by not allowing us to use the signature strength to calculate which sites where the best at a glance. Now it is just a load of repetitive tedium which doesn't even seem to be paying very well. |

try going somewhere with less people scanning. the issue isn't the income you can get from null sites but that you have to travel away from the crowds to find them and most people like to stay in their home regions with 600 blues in local. oddly it is those 600 blues that already ran the sites for 6 jumps in every direction. here is a list of all the fiat currencies that didn't end up at zero value.....and here is a list of the places where a currency pegged to a real commodity has successfully co-existed with compound interest....-á Here is a physics professor explaining why sustainable growth isn't a thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-QA2rkpBSY |
