FYI the only other known Miner II vendor I know of at the moment is Golden One, who sells for 3.8mill per unit but has a minimum quantity of 5.
Stain is using the other BPs they own for internal consumption only. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

10k for megacyte is not a crazy price. Until CCP fixes the baby roid problem, most if not all the bistot near stations has been mined out. It will be a while before they do a global respawn to fix that. Till then if you want people doing 10+ round trip runs for bistot expect high megacyte prices. In some regions megacyte is going for 12k if you want large quantities. Well folks, get used to it, unless CCP does something about the baby roids, the megacyte problem is only going to get worse.

Greetings all,
Just want to say that I support this offer done by Techell Corp. Been dealing with them alot before, Datsevlu most of the part is the person I have had the pleasure of dealing with. This accusations about them being greedy is unfounded and carry no real weight with the people that deals with Techell on regular basis. The fact that they stand by their word has been proven to me on more then a few occasions. I once offered Datsevlu 5mill for his Miner II if I could just get a few of them without having to wait like most people were. His reply was : "I'm sorry but I cant sell you any right now beacuse we are overbooked with orders for them and even if I did have them I would not sell them to you for more then 2.5mill" My respect for him and his crew grew more by that statement even though I wished he did take me up on my offer. (Allthough I did end up buying them from another source for a lower rate then I offered him)
There used to be a time when I use to join you people in this flaming of others people price suggestions for the items they sale. I know better now. If there is somehting I really want I buy it at the price I feel I am capable of paying I'll get it. If I feel a price is higher then I am willing to pay for I'll apologies and say the price is to steep for me and leave it at that. Cause I am pretty sure there will be someone else with a higher limit then me who will be willing to pay the seller the rate that he is asking for. And by me trying to redicule the person beacuse I think his price is to high. Just makes me the dumb one in my own eyes now.
As for the statement it only takes 40k worth of minerals to make a Miner II. Compare it to the RAM Cards and Graphic Cards in the real world. And then tell me you are one who is not willing to pay the prices for those cards just beacuse you know how overpriced in market price they are compared to their manufacturing cost.
I dont mind hearing other peoples opinion about this matter. But at least show some respect to the others of this thread no matter which "side" of the board you are. And keep it civil.

Wow all those words for miner II :)
actually I tink Techell played the miner II deal verry smart, they get respected for having the best price on them, but they sell every single miner that they can produce.. so in terms of proffit .. Im pretty sure they make the most of it :)
And there is nothing wrong with this new price they just offered.

Did I just read correctly that there are 2 corporations known to have unlimited blueprint copies for miner II's? Surely this cannot be true. I was under the impression that Miner II BPCs allowed the production of 100 Miner II's and that they dropped very rarely. I have to assume that this is really the case, since any company that had an unlimited Miner II BP could easily make enough isk selling Miners to completely outpace every other corporation in the game (100 Miner II's are worth more than 240M for Techell and could be upwards of 450M for a more greedy corporation).
Finding an umlimited BPC would not only be like winning the lottery, but be like winning the lottery every day for several weeks.

Edited by: Lord Aragon on 13/09/2003 14:29:09 Yes, you heard correctly. There are unlimited BP copies of miner 2s out there, and yes, it is like winning the lottery every day for the lucky corps. The few corps that were 'given' the BPCs are able to turn 50-100k worth of minerals into 2.5-5M in isk, or in Techell's case, 10M worth of minerals. Techell has been able to do this 80 times per day since they bought the BPCs. There has been a lot of whining about the way the miner 2 BPCs were handed out.
But this is a little off topic. I applaud Techell for making the miner 2s available at a price well below their market-value (1).
#1 Market value being the mean price people are willing to pay for them, not the cost to make plus a tiny percentage as is the case with battleship sales.

Just as a side note for those that thinks that Techell got their Miner II unlimited BP copy handed out to them. This information is incorrect. Techell bought this from a seller who I am pretty sure was aware of the value of the item he was selling.

Edited by: GenX on 13/09/2003 22:12:34 hmm,, you all complain that 9-10k for meg. I buy mine at 7-8k and refuse to buy for more...
so 1,000(7,000)=7 million to 8 million 8 million\3=2,666,667 each...
But if I trade it would only cost me 2,333,334 each.
But you all cry about 10k each for meg and you cry that somone is giving people a break and want meg instead of cash. For techell its a win for them, they dont have to look for meg, it comes to them, i find it very clever.
Ah, heck, I might just hold onto my meg stock pile and see what the prices will look in a few days... Maybe people may want to pay 12k each... Then we will here whinners really cry.. But techell has a waiting list for there minner two and you all cry b/c its to exspseive. But I see prices for m2 s going for 3.5 to 5 million each. so really kiddies, stop your crying. its a fair deal and there is nothing you can tell me diffrent... I just think kel'dra is clever for doing such a great little deal....
Kel'dra do you have space for another member?

Edited by: Koda on 16/09/2003 15:54:05 A free market has no requirement of stability. It is one without government interference or regulation.
Prices are screwed up and things are being undersold because sellers are in a merciless price war with each other.
The prices were set by the players, it's not a bug. The only way to change it would be to set price floors (or informal agreements between sellers ala the Trade Federation - accused by some as price fixing)
Having NPC buy orders to help stabilize things is a form of subsidization by CCP.
Given the ridiculous price that Miner II's are going for, Techell's deal isn't half bad. The situations with Miner's II's and Megacyte (High demand/short supply) are realistic. The market is reflecting this with high prices for both. --------------

I for one will be participating in this deal (so long as the demand for miner 2s remains high). As has been said before Eve has a free economy. If prices are too high we only have ourselves to blame. I know if I had a miner 2 bp I would want to get the most money I could per unit. I have dealt with techell in the past with my alt and they have been a pleasure to do business with. The miner 2s I purchased a month ago have paid for themselves and more!
