the going isk price on ebay seems to be just above $15 for 100mil. So i think ccp will rather see isk buyers buy and sell valid time codes than buy dirty jita isk. just make sure that "time code" isk does¦t end up on ebay

Thats the explination to the whole thing some people have time to grind thoose that dont are the ones buying isk and probably focusing on more intresting things .. win win situation

.. but instead of gtcs you could buy some yummy snake set or something ....
And also note - by buying gtcs you might be supporting the enemy of your alliance/corp. Everything has its drawbacks...

As a new player it has crossed my mind the same idea to play the game.
But as i go through playing i'm still wondering what's the difference if you work in RL for real money or if u work in game for earning ISK? Isn't that like your job?
That's a good question, at least for me.

Spoken like a young person. :)
Contrary to what your parents or school recruiters might have told you, 90% of the population do NOT enjoy their jobs in RL. So, why don't they just cancel their subscription to RL? Let's compare.
Failure to "work" in EVE:
- Loss of access to game resources.
- People in game notice your absense and wonder.
- Irritability.
- Excessive sleep.
- When your EVE account gets suspended, it stays in whatever state it was in until you start paying for it again. If your account is suspended for too long, you MAY have to start over but you keep whatever knowledge and contacts you made before.
Failure to "work" in RL:
- Loss of home.
- People on the street notice your presence and assume you are a drug addict.
- Irritability.
- Hunger.
- When your Real Life gets suspended, all your possessions are taken away, and you have to start over again from scratch. If RL is suspended for too long, you die. You do not get to start over, and even if you do, you lose all knowledge and contacts.
So, no. I don't think earning money is EVE is much like earning money in RL. In EVE, I have options and can make money in quite a few different ways. I can even change my "job" from hour to hour, at will. In RL, I have to take whatever job will pay the bills and stay there, because in my part of the world, jobs have been hard to find for the last few years.
EVE is all about choice. RL is all about trying to find a way to be able to choose.
Of course, if you happen to fly a Ferox in RL, or know of a good spot to mine Kernite... then my apologies, and please take me with you.
<=----=> Vila Restal: I'm entitled to my opinion. Kerr Avon: It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating.

By selling the Faction loot, you get from the kills..and simply by the rewards.. the higher a complex thehigher the rewards in them. fyi... you need good skills, and modules to last the higher complexes

Hey, Einstein... you misspelled "destroyed" in your sig. Make sure your helmet is secure before you criticize others' intelligence.
I'm not here to win any popularity contests. I couldn't care less what you think of me - all that matters is this: Can you defend your opinions? |
