And seriously to the OP if this system was so ripe for the picking with all these lovely mining barges just floating around ready to be popped then why isn't the place already swarming with pirates? Carebears can never fight off a decent pirate corp and thats a fact. To me that system sounds like eve heaven. I never think of the future - It comes soon enough

If the isk is there, I don't see why someone without anything better to do wouldn't come and pop a few barges for sh1tz and giggles. King Liu is RIGHT!!

They get fat on ice, and that fat needed trimming. whats really funny is its the clowns themselves undercutting there fellow "Alacheners", as can be seen by a quick look within "POS Funtime" channel. as i say, they could do with some clunkage. That is all.

I admit it was prolly not the nicest thing to do to a thief who was harrassing our mining op, but I allready had lost a barge that day to his main Don Carn'age and I got sick of him comming back repeatedly after we kept taking his ships out and letting his pod go. So I podded him. Big deal. He won't make good on the payments to anyone who does take him up on his offer. He will just balk out on any attempt to collect the bounty payment from him. He will claim your bounty is a forged, staged or otherwise false claim and deny payment. He claims to have paid Don Carn'age which is convienent since Don is his main character. Funny thing about typing styles. They tend to be distinctive like accents. -LA

Im glad you like to waste 12% sec status on a nub alt that by the end of th emonth will probably be on negative skillppoints anyway todate the number of miners in system has decreased and a system of normality has resumed in alachene, one of random pirates comming in for some fun not the sterile "carebear heaven" it was. in a week when isk has increased i will be looking for a few small merc corps to chase several corps who no longer inhabit the region targets are 1. league of gentlemen 2. tba 2. tba

I can't operate a mining barge, so I can't mine Ice, but the corp needs ice, so I volunteered to strap myself into a bessie. We had 5 barges, an industrial and 2 cruisers defending. Nothing formidable. Probably not more than 20 minutes into our little op Don Car'nage shows up in a retribution with a corp mate Tuko Kun. We order the barges out of the belt, but barges take a while to align having the agility of a refrigerator. We expected to lose some ships. Instead, Our Blasterax engaged Don, blew up his T2 fitted retribution, podded him, and then blew up his corp mate who also aggressed us. We managed to get our miners out of the belt with no casulties, and we returned not 5 minutes later to finish what we started. Couple of hours of ice mining (miserable experience) and we were done. Mission accomplished. Ice mined, 2 pirate ships popped, 1 pirate podded. We know that: - Don has lost hundreds of millions of ISK worth of ships and modules fighting in Alachene, but continued to do it to the end insisting that Big Flaps was paying him for it. - Big Flaps has not paid you for doing similar work. Now, there are a couple things this could mean: - Maybe Big Flaps just hasn't gotten around to paying you yet. - Perhaps Big Flaps has some hidden criteria she is using to justify paying Don Carn'age, but not you. - Or, like just about everyone in this thread has said, Don and Big Flaps are the same person. I think that final option is looking pretty likely right now. I also think you aren't going to get paid for the work you did.
