Hiya
Do you think that T2 heavy missiles will do enough DPS to get a BS piloted by someone with good skills?
How about the normal ones? I fly a ferox and I like it very much my current setup is :
Hi: 5XHeavy, 2 med Nosferatus
Mid : 2X large extenders, 2X inv field 2, 1 X Large booster
Low : 2 PDS, 1BCS, 1 Shield recharger
by the way any comments on the setup are welcome :)  |

Rage missiles > own vs anything bigger than the missile size. Rage torps rock vs carriers :) So yes, your DPS will be great vs battleships using T2 heavies.
The problem lies in surviving long enough to kill a Battleship, as cruisers/BCs generally don't do this very well.

His setup firing Heavy Furies with all skills absolutely maxed out is 184DPS. That is nowhere near 'ownage' DPS when it comes to battleships. Doesn't even qualify as great damage against cruisers.

Exactly. Zero cap, 335 sig radius, no cap injector = dead Ferox even against a half competent BS pilot.

My Cerberus loaded with Fury Missiles and a ROF poking at 4 seconds can dent most Tier 1 Battleships.
Id imagine your Ferox has a ROF of around 8 seconds and without the missile dmg bonus you will be lucky to kill a half-decently tanked cruiser.
Heavy Missiles without a DAMAGE and ROF bonus suck badly.
Vvveerrrryyyyy badly.
