Edited by: Azuriel on 30/03/2006 19:52:59 Exactly - and 30% hull? not sure about that, unless the icon is bugged. It showed ur hull bar as nearly completely red before u vanished. Nos killed most of the scrams that were on u, those that can use scrams that is. As we have many new members (the purpose of our corp - young guns pvping in the name of the Blood Raiders) - we have our limitations. Win or Lose, we learn from each engagement and in time we will be a better fighting force. Yarr.

That's why we're roleplay 'light'. It helps on making sure you like the role you gonna play to make it easier. For instance, podding people and collecting their corpses is totally In Character, as we are a Blood Raider sect .

Allow me to apologize for Mi Lai, she seems to have left out the best part . Shooting slaves for absolutely no reason at all is not only common place.....it's COMPLETELY encouraged (by me at least).
Edit: Spelling, and almost forgot to shoot the spell-checking slave.

alts of Veto lol.
I'm Verone
As stated there is no tolerance even for hinting at your main's identity for those that have them. I think the mix of new players and alts of experianced players has given us a boost on the learning curve.
Pity I dont have enough time for my main let alone this lovely alt.
*SaiYuk sidesteps out the door with Na'thuul's slave corpse mumbling "My pretty "

It was. But a Cerberus has crappy structure and it wouldn't have lasted much longer. As it was, I think a few of your guys ran nearly right away. If they had stayed, I probably would have lost the Cerberus. Scared of the big boys? Or just the FoF lights?

There was some confusion initially. As you were at roughly 60-70 km away from us, some wanted to try and do a quick in-and-out warp to see if we could land closer to you, and some wanted to charge right into it. As far as I know, all people in our gang did engage when the order was given.
As I mentioned before, we still have a lot to learn in tactics and set-ups, and there where many things that we could have done better in that encounter. We do our learning by trial and error, and though there might be harsh words spoken right after a screw up, we take every battle wether won or lost as a learning opportunity.
I much rather have our Raiders make mistakes now our clones and equipment are relatively cheap, then when we are the guys in the shiny expensive ships.

I did that on purpose. Then got bored when I saw you guys not doing anything and barely even coming towards me so I said screw it and used my AB to charge in so you would finally attack. It seemed to scare you guys off as some of them warped away and didn't come back. I'd say 2 more Punishers or Incursus and I'd have lost the Cerberus. That is why I never figured Sanguine Legion to be alts. Most pirate groups don't even get into a little RP and tend to act faster instead of sitting there.

Don't lose the spirit of 'Raiding'. Raiding implies quick strikes. When you start getting into lots of cruisers/HACs/Battleships and you go from being raiders to being an assault force. Frigate sized vessels work much more effective in packs which is what you all operate in right now. If a couple of you had been in Assault frigates, we likely would have lost the Cerberus and the battleship. Some bombers definitely would have finished us off.

I think you are missing the point a bit, it doesn't matter what you did on purpose or not, what matters is what we did, and how we are still learning from it.
As far as us staying raiders goes, that tactic is one that we are continuosly striving to improve. As has been stated many times now, yet not everyone seems to understand is that WE ARE NOT ALL ALTS and therefore when a relative newb (such as myself) takes charge of a gang for the first time, the alts will do what the leader orders (while trying to stear them in the right direction) while the alts react on instinct (the need to charge and kill). Ships have nothing to do with it at his point.

I would like to add to Soul's comment: regardless of what experience or ideas some of us have, when we're in a gang, we follow orders. If the orders aren't clear from the moment we see an enemy, we get confusion. We know this, and we accept this. Regardless of what happens in the encounter, we want to get our gangleaders trained, no matter how much it will cost us in dent ego's and popped ships. I much rather fly with a gangleader that makes wrong decissions then one who doesnt dare to make them. It takes time to train up though. I remember my first encounters where I basically just locked and pressed the firebutton and was to thrilled to do anything else allmost. Give us time, and you'll see that improve.
Thanks for the insight on how you experienced the encounter Derran, and I hope your next analysis will see better performance from our side .
Respect,
Mi Lai

I hope so. I hate picking on the weak. Fighting outnumbered is the only challenge I get.
Edit: Derran's Alt. First one in 3 years.
