I see there has been made a small overhaul for the change crystal mechanism but the bug is still there. If you have a set of crystal that is unpacked (like T2) or crystals that are not stacked, and if you change your current ammo with them, switching very quickly for each gun, some of them will un-load, and you have to go again and hit reload to load the ammo (there is no reload all for T2, which is even more irritating). With T2 you can no longer keep your cargo open and every time you change crystals you hit stack all to avoid the un-loading process when you again change the crystals. Please fix it. It's been like these for months now _________________________________

I think what this means is (I've had this problem): modulated strip miners will both try to load the same crystal if you reload the second one too fast. The result is the second laser steals the crystal from the first one, and you then have to reload the first again.
Reload all mining crystals? I don't think I'd ever use it enough, because my crystals go poof at different times. However, when changing ore types all at once, it would be nice if "load ..." didn't point to the same object.

solution: change'em as fast as you can, then press ctrl + R. You can adapt, or wine. It'll get fixed in time, every laster user knows it's there, so ccp will do. -----------------

A feature I'd like to see: Load New Type.
For example, right click and instantly be able to switch all ammo types from antimatter to iridium, or multifrequency to radio, et al. with just one click. This would be a little easier, and it would fix the crystal problem.

Aww, it must suck when a bug causes you to have 20% of the reload time of every other gun in the game, rather than just 10%.

Not instantly as that that would give us crystal users an additional advantage over the others. I would favour a client side built-in change macro or script myself. In fact I'd even accept a slightly slower rate of change.
That way you have a choice:Change 'em manually which will require a degree of physical skill to get right but can result in a faster change. Change 'em automatically which always works but takes a bit longer. -- (Battle hardened miner)

Fine if you limit the viability range of your ammo to what we crystal users have to endure. Then you too can scrabble madly trying to keep your weapons working at the correct range during the heat of a battle. You too can swear when client and/or server lag causes your reload command to get it wrong and you lose your ship or the enemy gets away.
Crystals can be changed faster because each one covers only a limited range. We have to be able to change our ammo within a couple of seconds just to stay competitive. It is unfair that all too often our simple request to change ammo goes wrong. -- (Battle hardened miner)

Wait...what? Having easy-to-switch optimal ranges is a DISADVANTAGE now?
Excuse me while I rofl.

The cost of having eaily-switched optimals is having tiny falloffs. That's the disadvantage. If lasers did not have such tiny falloffs, we wouldn't even need to change optimals so often.

I'm sure you could - all you'd have to do is climb onto the hull of the ship you just shot and peel the spent ammo from the ship!
Seriously though, the crystals don't actually leave the ship so I can't see why they couldn't be refocused or something?
Lasers also take more cap than the other turrets, and only ever do EM and thermal damage no matter what you use. Coupled with the tiny falloffs they have I think a shorter reload time is fair IMHO.
Oh and I'd also like to see this fixed -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If I was a bit more clever I could think of a witty sig :(

Fastest reload ingame, least ammo consumption (t1 crystals never break), t2 rarely, what do you want? Your tachs are getting a damage bonus too, amarr guns are overpowered anyway so go sling 'ya hook mate.
