Same problem here. It is disrupting my ability to do covert ops, has almost gotten me killed by sleepers several times, and continues to knock me out of cloak and logs me off while going after enemy units.
This is causing the game to be unplayable for me. |

It really makes EVE unplayable. It is not just a mere annoyance, but a critical problem. When will it be fixed? No one can say. We should receive refunds for every day that this continues. |

Tribe O' Brute wrote:Me too... My video driver often crashes pre and post warp since Rubicon 1.1. Never had this issue before. Gets me crazy because I can't get out the emergency warp out spot at the moment. Game crashes as soon as my ship tries to warp back to its original point and this is almost right after start up. Can't do anything with this alt. Luckily IGÇÖm training a 20 day skillGǪ I have 3 accounts by the way. With one of them I got also the same problem as with this account. After various tries spread over multiple hours I managed to get out of the emergency warp crash cycle with that account. I haven't tested my third account but I assume it's the same. few specs W7 Pro 64 Phenom II X6 1100T 8 GB RAM Radeon 6970 dual monitor
Maybe this can be of some help for people that are really stuck... I adjusted all graphic settings to lowest in the character selection screen. After that I was finally able to break the warp crash cycle. After that I maxed the settings out again. I even thought I solved it because I played for a whole hour without any problems and warped at least 20 times. But after that hour the video driver crashed again in warp and 10 minutes later again. Aaaaargggg But lowering video settings might do the trick until CCP fixed this... |

Oh lucky me!
I just so happened to upgrade to a new Radeon HD 7870 at the SAME TIME that the new Rubicon patch came out. Having not played EVE in a few days, this was my first chance since installing my brand new card. Was on a 4870 previously.
My first warp resulted in a long screen freeze prior to jumping through the gate. When I jumped through the gate, after arriving on the other side there was another very long screen freeze.
I warped to a station and docked.
When I undocked and warped back to the gate, the game froze up and kicked me to the desktop. The client was still up and I could hear the music playing, but Task Manager said the client was Not Responding.
I got back into the game. Jumped through the gate. The 1st jump was okay, but then I warped to another gate, and same thing. Freeze, close to desktop, music playing, client Not Responding.
I thought 'Oh great. So much for my great new video card. "
But now that I see others are having similar problems after the patch perhaps its not my new card. Sadly the coincidental timing is going to have me wondering now.

I am also getting crashing mid warp. Everytime I log in my ship is in warp and I can't do anything at all. Locks up every time then kicks me out of game. Can't even change my skills. |

TEMPORARY WORKAROUND:
I think I found a temporary workaround. I in a previous post I already mentioned that minimizing video settings helps to avoid the warp crash (for me at least). But that wasnGÇÖt really a satisfactory solution. So I started to narrow it down.
I found that disabling AA (Anti-Aliasing) solved the problem for me (tested over 1:30h with over 70 jumps over various accounts). ItGÇÖs not a perfect solution but at least all other settings can stay maxed out.
Hope this helps!

I tried this, but I still experience the runtime error after warping, sometimes as soon as after just two warps. |

Thank you! So far so good on crashes ever since I changed AA off. I'm still holding my breath but I have logged around 5-6 hours since my last post with no crashes! I guess time will tell but either way, thanks for your posts. I never thought about monkeying with setting since they worked before 1.1. |

Same warp-then-crash problem as everyone else. Turning off anti-aliasing seems to fix the issue.

I secod that! Just had a crash while in my Stratios. Runtime error. This one was a bit different though as I actually got an error window instead of a client freeze. So Anti-aliasing off just changes the crash somewhat.

I use the SOE ships and that primarily seems to be what is causing my crashes, when I use my other accounts for ratting with my tengu and salvaging with the noctis, I don't encounter this problem.
Pherhaps it is simply the SOE ships now that are bugged. |

I have had the same error as this one: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library "Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe abnormal program termination" in a popup window.
Anti-Alias is disabled so that doesn't help me.

I'm having some pretty good luck so far by turning off AA and switching to Direct X9 textures. The anti aliasing can be found in your in game menu under graphics. To change Direct X, its in the actual launcher menu. Their will be a little "gear" icon at the top right corner. Then click on the DirectX tab all the way to the right.
So far it's been working for me. Hope this helps.
P.S. You have to restart your launcher and game when changing between DirectX's |

Well I started getting very bad crashes when flying a Thorax so SOE ships are not completely the issue. Patch 1.1 just fails on AMD Radeon cards. |

I'm one of players getting this very same error, C++ runtime error blablabla.
interesting thing, as long as i just use mission acceleration gates or jumpgates error never happens. As soon as i board my salvager, warp to the bookmarks around, each 2 or 3 warps i get this runtime error, it happens short before the warp finishes or right after warp has finished. At start i didn't pay attention to this, thought maybe some glitch, but now as it doesn't stop i ended up here in this topic. But it look's like we are in minority here, since no devs have answered this.
P.S. I also tried using DX9 and disable AA. No luck, still occasional runtime errors. All this started to happen after rubicon 1.1 patch.

Can confirm that I am also still experiencing this crash.
Hasn't happened on any ship besides a Noctis, but from previous posts it seems to be one of the specific ships with problems.
I am also running a Radeon card, and I have been seeing quite a few of them in the system stats above. Only picked out two Nvidia users, one of which only had the issue in the Stratios.
Will try out the Anti Aliasing fix today, and Edit post with results.
I have been running Direct X 9 due to Odyssey Issues and never when back to 11.

I am also experiencing this on both my accounts... Mine freezes during warp usually while approaching a gate and the only remedy is to end the Eve task. Restarting the game doesn't help because it just freezes immediately again, I'm going to try disabling AA & switching back to DX9 as has been mentioned and will report my findings.

I am also having the runtime error when exiting warp. It only occurs for me in lowsec and warping to a poco, container or docking at a station. It does not seem to crash when I am warping cloacked to any of the situations that case the crash.

I too have no run into the Visual C runtime error. Luckily it was only while cleaning up a level 4 in my Noctis, so no risks of losing what I was flying, but still a nuisance nonetheless. I see someone suggested turning off Anti-Aliasing, so will try that shortly to see if it helps (if it does, you have my eternal gratitude!).
For posterity, my specs are Win7 64, i5-3550 and a Radeon HD5750 1GB. And yes, I've been running under DX9 since Rubicon went live, even though I've kept my GPU drivers up-to-date, just in case. |
