For me, "getting places" is moving my BPOs to a cheap lab, or going with a BPC to a station where a friend wants me to build a ship for him ...

And if you think its slow now, wait till you equip 6 t2 sieges with javelin torps. I have a wonderfully speedy 38.3 m/s then. But, really don't need speed with 264km range and can toast anything within that range quickly! And I do mean anything, why you think inty pilots are whinning now!

You guys were on it.. I am impatient in the deadspace areas, to and from gates, and when it comes time to loot. Looks like I'll just have to deal. I can't imagine the thought of not looting cans on level 4 missions, but I find myself doing that on level 3's now @ 160m/s in my Ferox. At least, I'm prepared for the frustration now as opposed to dropping the money and realizing then. Really just an academic whine by me since Raven > all apparently and not moving up when able to do so would be unrealistic at best. Thanks for the largely constructive response, folks. Drake
Eyari	Posted - 2006.03.30 18:39:00 - [18] IMHO, get a looting ship. For Caldari (I'm a Raven pilot too), I use a Caracal, though you might find other combinations. Fit said Caracal with: High: 5 Tractor Beams Mid: MWD, AB, 2x battery, 1x cap charger Low: Cargo expanders Of course, fit it to taste. The reason for the MWD and AB is that sometimes you might want MWD and sometimes you might want AB, depending on if you are in or out of a mission. How to use: 1. Go to mission. 2. Kill stuff. 3a. If normal space, bookmark 1 can, swap ships, loot. 3b. If deadspace, bookmark 1 can per level of mission, finish mission (ie talk to agent), swap ships, warp back to cans, loot. Caveats: - If you are concerned about loot rotting, make sure to start looting before 2 hours of your first kill. If it's a long mission, do some rotations or something. - If loot is in a deadspace, as long as you bookmark it, you can come back to it, even after the mission is over. Just bookmark and fly back to it. This way, you can just lay out the missile spam while flying to the next gate, and let the Raven do what it's good at: killing mission NPCs. I used to fit a tractor on my Raven instead of a NOS, but...it just was kinda slow at it. My friend flies Minmatar ships and has a similar setup on his Stabber...much faster ship.

Karl Mattar	Posted - 2006.03.30 20:07:00 - [20] All Caldari ships are slower than their counterparts. When it comes to the bigger Caldari ships, lootships are only the way to go. I use a Badger Mk II with local hull nanofibers, a T2 afterburner, and two tractor beams. It is very fast (~600 m/s), and you can grab two cans while moving to a third. Any sort of looting in a Raven has got to be a form of torture.
