What did tech support at wanadoo do or write back to you when you complained ?
Are you uploading or downloading any torrents, p2p or other stuff ? if so stop all of them and just use connection for EVE
Luckily with a proper ISP that is priced a bit higher than the rest and has no issues so far with connection |

1) Stop P2P downloads and check for spyware that could be clogging up your bandwidth
2) if you still have problems then complain to your ISP
3) You get what you pay for. There are alot of cheap ISP's that dont like gamers or P2P downloaders and as such they throttle all but port 80 so web browsing seems fast and people believe they are a good ISP, this is at the expense of all other forms of traffic.
I am with Nildram and have only ever had one problem when Cable & Wireless kept dropping people every 5 mins. CCP sorted this out by dropping C&W as a network provider. << Insert whitty sig here >>

Edited by: Drizit on 31/03/2006 18:01:15 Wannadoo is not usually a problem, they don't have issues with bandwidth use and their users have unlimited dl. My step-son plays several MMO's quite happily on his PC through a wannadoo connection.
Check for spyware/malware that could be causing a denial of service through a specific range of ports. These are commonly high ports try to force you to open the lower and more easily hackable ports.
Spybot is a good free spyware program if you don't already have one. Also Mcafee antivirus is good at finding pups (potentially unwanted programs) like malware.
Try a traceroute instead of a ping which may tell you if the port is transmitting and if so, where the route ends. This will determine if there is a bottleneck somewhere that may be causing your problems or if, indeed it is Wannadoo that is denying service to Eve online if the traceroute ends at the Wannadoo servers.
Make sure that it's not your PC that is causing the problem first and then you can honestly say you have checked everything to make sure it's not at your end. With Traceroute results showing that the route stops at their servers, you can even prove it's them and not you causing the problem.
Don't do like I did once. Rant and rave cos I couldn't log in and half an hour later look at the clock and realise it was DT so it wasn't surprising really

Here are the trace route results and ping tests when trying to connect to EvE server, the pingplotter results which EvE asked for show 100% packet loss! But on Command prompt im showing 0% packet loss.
