Whats the deal with these? i can almost use them but after studying them for a long time and comparing them to the tech 1 equivalent they just seem like a very expensive way of showing you have money. the damage modifier is hardly an improvementand the tracking, thats a joke, the only real improvement seems to be the speed but even that isnt that much better, am i missing something about these? is the dps that much better that people are willing to shell out a few hundred thou for a drone?
im in a vexor [pve] atm, cant see a good reason to upgrade to the tech 2 drones, convince me

They do like 15-20% more damage or something... thats pretty damn good. And they're quite cheap nowadays.

Extra Free Damage + Spec Skill Damage bonus is indeed worth it tbh. -------

32% more dmg with spec skill at 4 over their tech1 counterpart, not to mention faster and more hitpoints.

hmm well there certainly starting to sound like a good idea to get now, what about the best one, i dont want anyone to say well this is best for that or this, just what you guys think is the best OVERALL one for pvp and pve, my favourite atm is the infiltrator, seems to kill things fastest.

It is like with TII guns, is the bit extra really worth it? Most would say, yes!
I use upto medium TII drones currently (going for TII heavies later) and say it is definatly worth it, especialy with the right ship! -- bye, Ki Shodan

Um besides the increased speed and durability we're talking about a flat 20% damage increase plus another 8% with lvl 4 spec. That's roughly 30% more damage! Also unlike with turret and missile weapons, there are no named drones you can use to make up for your lack of skill. There's a big gap between t1 and t2 :)

For smalls and mediums? YES! Heavies? Well, it depends what ship you use and they are quite a bit of training.

1. Thermal or Explosive. Thermal because they deal the most damage, explosive because odds are you aren't dealing that damage type. 2. Remote armor repairers --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |
