Originally by: Cathryn Wolve Ok, setting the record straight on the Moros kill.....
The guy who lost it... Swaffer... was just futzing around, alone, in the belts testing his ship out. One of his NINE Dreds/Carriers ATM. Thats right, NINE. He was not fitted for PvP and was not NPC'ing in his dread , he simply was just out for a spin in one of his new ships and got caught with his pants down. Simple as that. Perfect timing for the goon blob to jump in and congrats to them on a nice (and extremely lucky considering their timing in jumping in the system and his setup at the time) kill. Not that it matters, but he took down 20+ ships before he went down (a bit bigger number than Goonfleet reported)
The ship has already been replaced and his focus (and considerable resources) are now focused on the goons. I imagine you can count on one hand the number of guys who have the resourses (yes, he has one of the most valuable BPO's in EVE) to wage a one person war and this guy is one of them. Something tells me he will cause more pain for Goonfleet in the long run than the loss of one dread (which, being totally honest was NOTHING to him).
It makes me chuckle at all the smug remarks in this thread at the Moros loss. Remarks made by people that have not accomplished 1% of what Swaffer has in this game.
woah yea he must have killed a whole 20 t1 fitted t1 ships that were fully insured. really broke the Goon piggybank there. dude 206 are a joke. i lol in your general direction.
edit: btw, shield tanked moros that's something in eve i don't want to achieve.
Well, considering the Dread was fully insured too and, as previously discussed ad nosium, the mods were nothing to write home about, what exactly did swaffer really lose besides a little pride. If taking a little ribbing from a bunch of 12 y/o's like you and Iceblock is the worst of it I think he will be OK.
As far as your other comment about 206 sucking or whatever, I just wonder what that makes BOS since our killboards are riddled with your ships?

The future of this whole conflict won't end with the current parties that are fighting imo...eve from my pov is in the midst of a crossroads of pvpers and alliance's having to many naps and not enough targets, i think once the area boasts a bit more "seasoned" challenge...some of the larger and more professional pvp entities will come down for a romp and we'll truly see what the inhabitants are made of...either way it keeps the area interesting for the people who live there and my t1 frig sales have never been higher.

It's possible, but I don't think it's extraordinarily likely -- Syndicate space isn't "true" 0.0 after all, it's NPC 0.0. The truesec isn't as good as deep 0.0, and there are simply better regions for "true 0.0" alliances to fight over.
What I think will happen is that the big alliances will keep chasing more and more groups out of deep 0.0 into NPC 0.0, and more and more people will be trying to shift from empire to 0.0 space and getting their feet wet in NPC/Syndicate 0.0. So I do see the overall level of conflict going up over time.

What game were you playing back then, CANDYLAND??
I find it quite humerous that there is a post, not 10 ahead of this one, by a Goonfleet leader explaining to all of the Eve universe how Goonfleet has a strict policy about posting smacktalk. They are above all that and all you see. Yet this thread is riddled with Goonfleet smack, half truths, and outright lies. I guess the goonfleet members dont have very much respect for their leaders judging by the way they follow their edicts.
Has the rotting from the inside already begun??
Before anyone says the other side is smacking too, remember, we dont have no stinking rules!

Yea, I dusted off my walker and got back in the game after about ten months of basically just changing skills. My Eve addiction was too much to overcome it seems. Looks like you guys have done well for yourselves while I was on hiatus. Nice job. The 4c days seem so long ago, we are getting old

We do indeed have rules against posting smack. In the end, all we can do is discipline and fine. I don't control Azaeren's character, nor do I control him. There was one other post of ours with smack in it in this thread, Dungar's, who has also been delt with. Are there any more with "blatant smack and lies"? If so, can you please link them to me. Thanks.

[UPDATE]
JQA / MK7 calm down - but only for a while
Following on from this reporter's startling revelation that Supremacy had not only broken away from positive standings with O.S.S., but had begun a concerted campaign against them, it's time for short update.
A moderately large fleet battle occured just within the bounds of the JQA / MK7 constellation over last weekend where it is apparent that Supremacy forces built up to combat the significant numbers of Goonfleet et al.
It would appear, that whilst Goonfleet do not pack a punch individually, it certainly can as a group. Both Supremacy, and a certain Geeklab dreadnaught pilot can testify to that .
The fleet battle appears to have been a good one, but where no signficant victory by either side has been testified to. Of note is that both sides seemed to enjoy it greatly, with little smack-talk. Losses appear to have been about equal, which leads O.S.S (with superior numbers) to hold the high ground still.
Since then this reporter has attempted to understand the current situation which, as mentioned above, is a slighly clouded.
We understand that Supremacy and a loose collection of the recently ousted NBSI alliance continue to hold vigil in the systems of M2 - IIRH, with occasional sorties into O.S.S territory beyond 8-J.
There are scattered rumours of a largely French alliance (Galactic Aurora?) also being sighted in force within these same fringe JQA systems. Their purpose is, at present, largely unknown.
O.S.S. appear to have put this issue on a slight back burner since then, content to wait for more aggresive action from the would be attackers. This could be cunning ploy on the part of the alliance however. It has been noted that large gate camps from Goonfleet have been reported in their home systems.
What will happen in the coming weeks will be interesting to see. Supremacy, without a home or their old friends will have significant choices to make. Their transformation to a holding / siege force is in stark contrast to previous heroic stories, but it may only be temporary.
Watch this space. |

I think there are more -A- than everyone else put together.
I dont know what fleet battle you're talking about, but if it's the one I was in, we killed 12 bs and lost 1 afaik, starting with 16bs to their 30bs. They also dictated range had drones already deployed and used an interdictor bubble.
OSS jumped in.
Deros's covert lag warped when he jumped in before the fleet :(

there were 2 battles the first was a success to the ga,nbsi and suprm.
on the second batlle they were out numbered 3 to 1 and the losses were about equal.
check out the kill boards for the full story, just remember that not all losses are posted but you can be sure all killmails are posted.
if you have the time to troll the boards then let us know the true result
