I keep getting BSODed in the middle of gameplay. Essentially the game jags for a second before the screen turns blue and plays the last fraction of audio over and over again. My game is updated and my specs are:
Dell Dimension 8300
P4 - 2.6Ghz 1GB DDR RAM 12 of 80GB HD free Ati Radeon 9800 pro Soundblaster Live 5.1
Any ideas what's causing this? It's getting bloody annoying.

have you got that latest drivers, and if you have there might be a problem with the drivers.

I used to have a similar problem to this too. When I ran more than one character, and had audio on, my PC couldn't cope with it - and BSODed.
I turn sound off now when I run more than one account.

look at the driver name it references on the BSOD. in my case last night it was "ALCXSENS.SYS". then type that into google and the first result or two should lead you to a forum discussion or something where someone has seen the same issue. for the example above, its a realtek ac'97 audio driver. i updated the driver and crashed instead of BSOD. so i messed with the audio hardware settings and don't crash now, but the sound goes loopy once in a while and I have to reboot.

Likewise, sound on, two clients = BSOD before long. Sound off, two clients = no BSOD going on a weeks play now.
Its a "STOP" error, microsoft crash analyzer says they investigated this "unknown driver error" in december and haven't found a source/cure yet.
(Asus A8N-SLI premium, X2 3800, 2 gig ram, geforce 7800gt, audigy2 zs)
Disabled the firewire and gameport as I've seen suggested, didn't help at all.
. ----- Apologies for any rambling that may have just occurred.
