Obviously Nosferatus are near the top of the list.
The current stats on drain MIGHT make sense for an EW ship if the range were vastly improved. (20-30k).
I would like to see the following for Nosferatus: Two types: Short range (5-10k) with high drain, and long range (20-30k) with low drain. (Same idea as the two different warp jammer types - One has a strong jam and low range, the other has half the jamming strength and much longer range.)
In addition to that, have small/medium/large varieties. The current Nosferatus will make a difference on a frigate (<2.5 cap/second), but will be pointless on a cruiser. So there should be a medium Nosferatu with higher power/CPU reqs (albeit less than most medium guns) and double the drain rate.
Nosferatus used to be 10 cap every 40 seconds from what I remember, now that's been bumped up to 45. I think 2 cap every 8 seconds or 5 every 20 for the "small" variant would be better. For the "medium" variant, same drain in half the time. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

Lots of useless mods.
- Damage control units - pointless. - ALL high slot electronic warfare items(especially the vampires). I wanted to be more of an EW guy, as my gunnery skills suck, but after rigorous testing on corp mates, I am forced to use guns, as all the high slot EW is completely useless, I cant even wound a ship before i am blown up. - Roid scanners - I have a secret way to "judge" ores, some may know this, but it works from any range, as long as you can see it, no scanner needed. The scanner gets the exact number, but I am usually within a couple hundred, so who cares. They should work at around 30km to be effective, the point is they should save you from having to get within mining range, not closer. ---------------------- There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people. |

There are energy neutralizers that will suck an Amarr battleship dry of cap in a very short amount oftime. No cap, no ammo for lasers. Also they're the best way to tame a wild Scorpion.
Toss one on a Minmatar ship with projectile weapons. So not "ALL" are useless.

Energy Vampires - too short a range, too small a draine, too long a recyle time.
Ship scanners: range way to short to ever be used.
Roid scanners: range way too short, again. In the time it took you to get within 5 km of all the roids you could have manually checked them out.
Medium slot shield recharge rate boosters. Shields recharge far too slow anyway.
Low slot shield power relays. Great item. You can reduce cap recharge so you can increase shield recharge rate. Nevermind it is thousands of times more efficient to reduce shield recharge rate and just use a shield booster.
For that matter flux anything is pretty bad :D You can usually find a better item in the power relay stuff.
Those passive medium slot shield resist boosters. Why use those when you could use a tactical shield and get way more benefit?
Damage Control Systems. Doesn't matter how damaged your stuff gets right now, seemingly.
Cap boosters: Take up way, way, too much space to be practical.
Medium Shield Extenders. Takes too much powergrid for too small a return. No contest over whether you should run a tac shield, or a shield extender.

my vote goes to the new to arrive mobile refineries, as they are presented on chaos at the moment. (check patch-channel)
and i just realized how much worthless rare stuff i had recyled. could turn out to have been a big fault if they start changing things!?!

GM "illegal" corpses.
not like they are tech V corpses that can blow up a ship in one hit if you throw them at someone.

Basic Inertial Stabilsers --- They do bugger all and recyling them nets you an entire unit of Iso !

Essentially, since shield recharge rate is inherently so low compared to cap recharge + shield booster, ANYTHING that affects shield capacity or recharge rate is useless.
As to passive shield resist modules - They have an extremely valuable use, although it doesn't involve being fitted to a ship. :) Hint: 40 m3 of minerals used to produce a 5 m3 item. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |
