I havn't used interdiction spheres since before the blood patch, but I don't think it was fixed in the blood patch.
If someone jumps into the system, they can log out while still cloaked and the sphere does not stop them from warping. We had a retriever and a pod both log out after jumping into one of our spheres, and both were able to warp out.
They obviously knew this was a bug and exploited it. I'm sure other players do as well. --- Wolven Elite Guard - Currently recruiting |

Wrong forum, but i hope the devs take notice anyway.

I agree that this is an annoying bug that needs to be fixed. I don't think that it's a sphere only problem though. Any ship that logs before decloaking can not be scrambled once it emergency warps.
In other bugs: launching an interdiction sphere should be an aggressive act. You get on killmails for launching it. As it stands now, an interdictor can drop a sphere and jump through a gate immediately afterwards while the sphere holds whoever just jumped through from warping.
Example: I was in a small gang of 8 running from a gang of 55-60 that was persuing us. As we jumped through the gate, we came face to face with a Sabre. I thought "well, we are all gonna die but at least we can kill that bloody sabre" only to watch it drop the dictor sphere and immediately jump through the gate. As the gate began to pulse...and pulse....and pulse....my only thought was how lame that it can attack us and immediately jump out.
One last wish. Make some way of knowing if you are still within the interdictor bubble. The graphic is REALLY cool, but impossible to tell if you are within the sphere (scrambled) or just outside it's influence.

if they log out, they probably get 'emergency' warp...

Its not more a bug or exploit than the fact that spheres do not stop a warp that is already in progress (ie, you're in a hauler that takes 5 seconds to align/warp, you hit warp and you start aligning, sphere is deployed as soon as you decloak, but since your warp is already initializing it doesn't effect you). I believe this is unfortunately how they're intended to work by CCP. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

TBH, serves you right for camping using interdiction spheres, and for not having tacklers too. Interdiction spheres are not the be-all-end-all of tackling equiptment. Smart fleets pack tacklers too ---------------------------

Thank you! I've been whining my head off about the lack of aggro on the bubbles. It's pure horsemuck.

And as I said in other thread, making such thing without changing the HP of the interdictors would make the ship a tin-foiled coffin, wich is worse than the regular oak-foiled coffin, hard to maintain, fragile and volatile 20km warp disruption bubble that is now.
Make that change and give more defences to the interdictors, or make them invulnerable to any kind of warp disruption. Still doing any kind of change to that would be opening a can of worms. The spheres are bugged to hell and back, the interdictors are flying coffins and can barely handle with a single interceptor, even being a bigger ship with more weapons and they are as hard to miss as trying to shoot a barn's door at point blank with a sawed-off shotgun due to their large sig radious, even being as fast as they are.
I am playing devil's advocate here btw, cuz I feel that it is rather lame, but from a POV of someone who fly interdictors, being able to jump out after deploy a sphere is the only way to save our asses in some situations. ----------------

Making it public leads to mass exploiting which leads it actually being fixed within a reasonable amount of time. -------

Keeping explotable bugs quiet doesn't help. It means it takes longer for the problem to get fixed. Spartan was correct to post this.

The simple solution here: Make warp scrambling after logouts possible. Via bubble or jammer.
Ships are killable after logout, they should be scrambleable.

This may - MAY - be applicable sometimes when there's an easy fix. When there isn't it's about the single most stupid thing you can do. IMO.

Whether or not it helsp the fixing which is a so far fetched idea it's not even funny is completely and totally irrelevant. Posting exploits is against the forum rules. And yes it's really that simple.
Although I doubt that this is an exploit ( need a bug for that ) this more unintended functionallity. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

And posting exploit details is specifically forbidden. Yup. Bug reports go in the "Bug Reporting" section on the left there...
