Remember people get remembered for what happens in small groups not big blobs this will all be forgotten when its over jsut another blip in eve history. Remember the stuff we still talk about today is, Great Northen War the first one mOo Evol and RKK Curse Alliance CA VS SA This is what will go down in eve history not a massive lag fest all Supreme hostile numbers against 1 Industrial Alliance. Thats my 2 cents People can say what they like about what i just said but thats how i feel about it.

We did a small roadtrip, took over an outpost, kept it for several days. I dont call that "arses handed". Yes, we lost ships, yes we probably lost battles, yes we left the area, but erm, a roadtrip isnt meant to stay forever in one place, we had fun, we had kills, hell, we even mined in ju-. And i find it funny to see that kind of remarks coming from some random "pirate" corp sniping frigs in 0.4, but anyywayyy. ----------------------------------------

Whereas you on the other hand are asking for a bunch of pointless space jousts where both sides kiss and make up at the end and go onto other "fair" targets in an endless round of capture the flag maps. Now maybe you are genuinely asking the question at the top of this thread in which case you are just being naive and not understanding the basic principles of the big political game of Eve. Or maybe you are just framing the question as some kind of entry-level divide and conquer psyops aimed at the rank and file. I don't know who you are so I can't tell. I am quite certain SirMolle was a competent "Master of Orion" player in the old days, and figured he could transfer his strategy and tactics to the world of Eve. I was a fine member until COL told me SA was getting back together and then I told Dianabolic I was leaving due to that reason and he completely understood. That is how I perceived it. QFT. For some EVE is a strategy game, and in this game the ordinary pilot's desire to have fun is mostly irrelevant. In these fleets the ships with pod pilots take the place of marines and tanks, produced at barraks or factories. Only strange to see how many pilots are willing to sacrifice their own fun to the aim, which in many cases is not their own, in the battles, where they are viewed as small and replaceable elements of a huge war machine - a leadership work I s'ppose.
