Why are blaster so useless after all this time and 1000's of complaint threads about them? Do devs ever read these forums? Why is the game so boring and predicatable atm?
Why is there no decent close range combat options? Why do blasters never hit if your target is not webbed?
Why should mega pilots be forced to fit webbers?
Why do u think sniping is so much more effective?
Long range = boredom and death of eve

I agree. Every time i fitted some blaster just to try them out the result was "oh well. The rails do only a little less damage but have RANGE instead."
And if it's only about close range damage, a siege raven does more, has two nos' instead of one and can tank (better).
To be really usable, blasters would need 75% PG or 150% damage or something.
As for me, i abandoned skilling mega / hybrids any further and switched to imbaRaven. More damage, easier to fit, better tank. Its a lot of fun :D

2) what sticky? that with the increased tracknig boni? that won't rescue blasters ^^

I think Ginger's been podded without a clone so many times it's gone beyond sucking his SP and started to drain his attributes. Intelligence was obviously the first to go. Probably closely followed by Perception, then Memory, Willpower... and his Charisma was never high to begin with.

I notice that you left out business sense. 
As for blaster changes - I'll believe it when I see it on TQ. "We'll look at it" has been said several times for blasters.  Instead its like they look at blasters for a while, say "hmmm, thats kind of broke. Oh well, lets go boost Tachyons"

You've never heard of Autocannons? Seem pretty damn close ranged to me. They also generally don't hit the target if it is of a smaller ship class unless the target is webbed. Why should blasters be any different?

Is it? Get a force recon in a gang with you. Get him 15km behind the sniper, cloaked. Warp to him within 15km. As you are about to drop out of warp, get the force recon to scram and NOS the Sniper (passive targeter to get a lock). Drop out of warp on top of the sniper. Suddenly those gate camp setups seem a distinct disadvantage.

There is not much wrong with blasters except the cap usage. If you cant use them as they are designed for then YOU are doing something wrong.

Ginger + megathron + stabs + blasters = broken? Obviously. In this case, it's the pilot being crap, not the guns or the ship.
They need fixing and like others pointed, there's already been enough topics to describe their poor performance.

game is pretty predictable atm and blasters do suck....ccp needs to tell us what they are going to do to them soon....
its predictable because everybody flies a raven with precision cruise missiles. and raven is way too easy to fit for damage and tank plus it can EW also. please nerf it kthx
haha id love to see mission *****s whine like a bunch of *****es once their precious raven was nerfed...

I know there are loads of threads on this but thats because we never get a good answer! It is always something like : "ok we will look into it" then we have to wait for ages and hear absolutely nothing. Why is it taking so long to fix them if so many people have stated what they want chaged?
Amd dont use the stupid argument of "if you dont like it, use something else". Do you really want everyone using the same weapon? I certainly dont.
So please, devs, give us a proper answer soon.
