God I hate gettin stuck trying to warp cause you never are ejected far out into space enough from the station you are undocking from. Some stations are so bad even trying to thrust your way (not warp) out into space can get you trapped, your ship flippin about like a fish outta water.
You can say well just wait a little longer, fly out a little further but how long, how far?

they really should either eject you at a higher velocity, or further from the stations.

QFT. I vote for some kind of medieval trebuchet. Of course, the Minmatar would just have large rubber bands and a couple of sticks. ______________________

Why cant they make all stations eject towards the sun. If its a straight line to the sun I would be happy. What irks me is when you exit and no matter what body you want to warp to it has to be through the station.
I think that all stations where thrown ingame and never set thier by real people, I think we need to adjust it. Allow for station petitions. It just detracks from the graphics of the game.
It might be cool to be oozed out of 6-0y but trying to flee is not much fun.

It's always a big moment for me, watching my ship caroming off the walls of the exit tunnel, being spun around by a Raven entering the station, further English put on the ball by a passing freighter. Good time to reload, which is hard work and makes me hungry. But that's no problem since I usually warp out through the cafeteria and grab a sandwich on the way through.

Yes, at one time undocking was fine. In one of the patches, devs resized the the stations, making them much larger. Since then some types of stations are difficult to warp from.
Perhaps like the OP suggested, ejecting out with more thrust.

We could just get them to turn collision damage back on that should solve the problem by rendering half the stations unusable.

I'd like it if we wouldn't load into space until we can see space itself.
Undocking and getting blown up because you loaded and it hasn't loaded the screen for you yet ftl.
Stations dont really need you to undock faster, it just needs more ports to undock from, which could also make station camping alittle harder.
besides, undocking at higher speeds wouldn't solve anything, you'd just get piled up with others further out.

All this interstellar technology and we don't have CCTV

Using my minmatar catapult idea, no-one would get piled up. They can never hit the same place twice anyway ______________________

just have us undock at full speed like it used to be if you want to redock because it's full of hostiles just hit stop as soon as you're in space
would solve the stupid pile ups too. i just don't understand why ppl undock and just leave their ship sitting in the middle of the undocking port.....

tbh that's just a little too advanced for the Minmatar. They should have to push your ship out into space themselves. I suppose they could have some sort of space suit or bag full of air or somthing...

Yeah it's good to be able to undock / redock when there's a hostile flee outside. Maybe they could use an already ingame feature instad though and give stations a force field like POS have say 5km around the station.
The same as a POS field you couldn't target while inside it and such. I know a lot of people would say no to this, but this is the basic idea, the devs would have to work out the mechanics such as how long before the force field auto-ejects you
or maybe I'm still drunk from last night lol

I allways doubleclick in the travel direction upon exit. It gives me higher speed to get away from station. Unless some asshat abandoned their shuttle in the way which will render a complete stop. Xerxes

It takes a good 10-20 seconds of bouncing around before you can warp. The most annoying thing is that you are not even bouncing off anything, but the stations 'hitbox' is larger than its model.

Oh god i hate those bloody stations ffs >.<
Please fix these CCP they are really annoying especially if you want to fight wars anywhere near them, you undock and have no hopd of getting away because you bounce around for ages on nothing.

Add 'windows' to the stations to allow people to see what's outside as in a limited scan, costly service if need be. Then eject the ships way out so once they do undock there's no instant re-docking.
Remind me about The Maze.
I'm Danton Marcellus and I approve of this message. |

I assume you are not referring to the ships that would end up splattered on the wall behind the catapault.
Mind you there are thosxe that would claim the splattered ships thing is yet another way for the dev to favour Caldari.

There is no instant re-docking. You have to wait 20 seconds as it is.

Well. True. But during these 20 seconds you are untargetable unless you take some action: issue a move command, target lock or some other.
So yeah. An insant dock or a free "get out of camp card" if you have the right instas.
If stations had more ports you could undock from it would be way better and more interesting.
Also, I support the idea for stations ejecting you further away and at max thrust.

If you are stuck you can press CTRL+Space to abort warp, navigate your ship away from a bouncing border and then warp again. It's quite simple.
What is needed is a button clearly shown so that people know it's possible to abort a jump.

I was going to say "QFT" but I keep remembering HippoKing's sig - so I'll say something useful.
Just put it in the tutorial. ______________________

Ive never had a problem with this unless i try to jump somewhere within 1-5 seconds after undocking. Wait a few more seconds and youll have enough time to fly back towards the station and warp before you hit mr magical wall
