When undocking, place ship in some random point around the station, with zero velocity (just think of a station as if it were a stargate), preferrably so that the point would be as far from other ships as possible, to avoid piling up and silly camping. 2. Make the kind of a space session, an "observation session". You would change session into space but ship won't be created, and it will look as if you piloted a station. Probably some station services would be available while observing that way. When you stop observing, you get back to regular station view and can undock properly. This will allow to remove the invulnerability after undocking too...

With most stations if you double-click a point in the clear just as you undock your ship will be catapulted away from the station at 1k/s or more. But you only have about five or ten seconds to get your view alligned and do your clicking, otherwise... stuckzilla. Since 99% of the stations you get stuck undocking from are the ones that sh1t you out downward you can just double click straight down and zoom out no probs. The minnie stations will do this if you click upward before your ship comes out of the exit tunnel.

Edited by: Tarnish Katharr on 08/04/2006 18:18:16 The circular Intaki stations are a rather special case here. It really looks like the collision detection mesh is all wonky. Even if you were to sit still outside the station after undocking to take advantage of your undocking invulnerability, the interia from larger ships will cause you to hit the collision mesh and go for a ride down the spiral, spoiling your undocking invulnerability and probably getting killed by the station camp (Damn you Y9G-KS Station ). Its generally not an issue in a frigate or smaller.
With most other stations, if I try to warp out with my interceptor or warp to an insta-undock bookmark, I'm gone right away. Not with these stations. Any little movement and you're in for a ride through the collision mesh.
I'd like to see the collision mesh looked at or at least a sign put up in the station stating, "The Intaki Syndicate is not responsible for any damage your ship may sustain while colliding with invisible station structures."

Make a BM 1,000km dead on from the exit of the undock ramp. warp to it instantly when you undock.

I've found that works for pretty much everything except the Death Saucer Stations.
