I am going to be holding a lottery for am Improved Cloaking Device II valued at approx. 30 million ISK.
Participation costs 5 million ISK.
How: You will purchase numbers by placing a buy order here in this format:
"I will take number (1-20)"
Only 2 numbers may be purchased by one person.
20 slots are available.
This lottery will be open until April 12 or until all slots are filled, whichever comes first.
All participants will be informed of the outcome, with the victor receiving the item on escrow in the system New Caldari.
An escrow will put up containing a shuttle that is named the number of your ticket . Also this is how payment will be taken. Shuttle will be put up for 5 million ISK. Final prize will be claimed by escroing the shuttle back to me with the name unchanged. I will be keeping records of who purchases what number.
The price will be put up on escrow for a total of 99 Billion(so no one buys it) to show that I do indeed have the item. At the end of the lottery it will be put up on escrow to the victor when proof is givin.

Good idea, but i think there's too much profit for you for me to participate. 80% return or so whould be more sensible imho.

It doesnt cost you any more than if I did 10 slots(which was my original Idea, but was talked out of) I would be willing to do a general consenus and limit it to 10 slots. That or I could throw in a second prize of a prototupe cloaking device(worth 20million). take your pick.

20million was the price for the cloak last time I checked market in Forge region. Improved Cloak II was 30million which is the prize, not the reg. cloak. At best the reg cloak will go to a 2nd winner.

if you want to give people an incentive to enter you're going to have to scale the ticket cost to the value of the prize and the chances of winning it.
It may not cost us more to enter with 20 tickets available than it does with 10 tickets available, but it cuts the chances of winning and therefore the worth of each ticket, in half.
5 mil a ticket, 1 in 20 chance.
So we're paying 1/6th it's value to get a 1/20 chance of getting it, not even close to being worth it. If it was 10 tickets you might do better, 1/6 & 1/10 is a decent balance compared to 1/6 & 1/20 and still provides profit.

All right due to popular demand ticket price is now reduced to 3 million. 1/10th value of the prize.
