What about me? I want PVP to be fair balanced more strategic exhillarating and common, does that make me a psycho l33t kiddie?
Point is, peace is one thing, carebears are buttwipes plain and simple.
In Everquest I'm playing a shadowknight. Around level 11 I go venturing out of my home area into places more diverse races hang out. It's not a PvP server so I have to not kill people, but Ican still refuse to help em if they arn't an allied race right?

One night I'm out there minding my own business when somebody mesages me over the zone (not private mesage), asking me to use my corpse locator spell that all SK's at my level have to find his body for him before the server went down or his body decayed.
I refused (in character, little did I know playing even remotely in character on a non PVP server is a NO-NO)
Immediately six or seven level 20-40 players jumped all over me verbally accusing me of being a jerk, lamer and worse, and threeatened that should I ever need help later on they will just laugh in my face (as if I'd even ask).
I tried to explain that I was just being in character, and offered to help him for some money. again I was chewed out.
finaly I decided to help out of pity, I mean I am a nice guy to be honest. and now when I offered to help at last I was rigdiculed, and again threatened by various methods...
I eventually told them all to go stick it where the sun doesn't shine and to bring it on if they think I am personally a jerk for not helping some stranger seriously risking my own character in the process as it was a tough zone to be hunting in for my level.
to me this is a carebear.
It is the kind of player that will bend every rule to make everyone have zero risk. and judge everyone else to be a l337 kiddie or a lamer.
They go beyond pacifist, into the realm of self indulgent loonie....
they screamthey are on the side of fair play, but think nothing of the consequences to themselves or others.
why do you think so many things in EVe are boring? Because Pc pirates can't interefere in empire space like they used, to, just NPC's...
In short Care bears want MMORPG's to be cooperative PVE environments so nobody can really beat them unless they are a power gamer...
PVP fans like TRUE challenge, and are willing to test thier mettle against other human beings.
Sad part is PVP fans tend to have thier fair share of *******s, like those who like to cheat and exploit to make players feel bad...
They give players like me a bad name who seek challenge and excitment, and combat but not because we like to torment others.
This is after all just a game...
As for 2 second combat, any dork who wants that isn't who I am sticking up for neither is the guy I think that started this thread.
