Just as a friend of Katt I know that this is nonsense. Ventran, if you want to ambush someone that day, you had a bad luck picking Katt as a target. Now you are trying to push your luck even further.

I think this is only a desperat act to try to get a lost ship back..
SW is known to replace ships that are lost to accidents.. and he's trying to take advantage of this by claiming that Katt shot first, and that he is the innocent victim here..
I got a feeling that katt was the original victim here.. but as the attacker soon realised, he made a bad move..
And whats with the screenshot?
That only prove u got podded... and thats no real news..

Whatever, I dont care anymore. I dont want compensation, (already said this once). I simply wanted a explaination and/or apology because from my point of view I could not have locked and fired at Katt.
Keep this in mind tho, people make mistakes. Even people you are best friends with. I am just as likely, but in this case I didnt. Things happen in this game all the time that make no sense and for no reason that we can understand (after all it is the most complex architechure ever concieved for a MMORPG).
Time will tell.
I consider this closed and over. No hard feelings on my part, just learned to be wary of 'friendlies' as well as hostiles.

With my present security status? Naw, I don't feel like fighting CONCORD. But I suppose that high security status pirates (ie. exploiters) don't have such problems.
So Sinsemilla, tell me how you can with a -5.0 security status go to a 0.8 system and steal ore? Tell me how you even can get into a 0.5 system to begin with?
So Sinsemilla, you must be an alt. char for some dumb stain alliance corporation. Only they would come up with something so dumb.

Im no alt, ive been playing this game for just under 3 weeks now. As the above poster pointed out, I got the wrong person  Hope he dosn't take offense....
Skillz, wasn't it just under 2 weeks ago you set your swarm of drones on me in a 0.4 system for "stealing your cans". I'm still rather confused how i could have done this in a rifter, please explain. Unless it was another badass pirate in a thorax, preying on noobs in frigates.....

Just to put this thread to bed as it should have been long ago.
1) The incident took place at a gate where I was locked on and fired on first. I returned fire and destroyed my attacker's ship. If he was loaded out poorly for such a fight, he shouldn't have started it.
2) I don't use a passive targeter, as my last mid slot was taken up by a warp scrambler.
3) I used a 7500m, strength 2 scrambler. If he had to zoom way out and look around to see me after firing on me first when I was only about 6000m away......
4) My attempts to converse after the firing started were all rejected, so I finished the kill.
Conclusion: Some inconsistancies in his story. I regret having to destroy a ship of a normally very friendly corp, and don't hold any sort of grudge against the corp itself, but would defend myself again if the situation came up.
There will be no further posts on this thread by me, don't bother replying.

I have spoken with Katt in the past and, obviously as I am in his corp, Ventran.
Neither are the type to go off and attack another player out of the blue, so I can only conclude that the battle was due to a misunderstanding, some sort of bug or series of bugs, a combination thereof, or that I simply don't know.
Stranger things have happened. <shrug>

If katt was seeing the enviroment around a gate and I was seeing a asteroidbelt with npc's them something must have been really wacked in that system.
I do know I was in a belt, that was my purpose being there, to mine and hunt npc.

I have to admit. I was sent to Stain space by a friend as a joke. I had been out of game for about a month and in that time they where formed. When I was out there I did receive a message asking what I was doing out there. I told the person that contacted me that a what my side of the story was. they laughed and asked me to leave as soon as possible. Not rude in any way nor was I threatend. they took the time to tell me why. said if I wanted to hunt there then contact the person that handed out permits. they didn't chase me and let me go on my way. So for Stain to have a rep as pirates blows me away. and Katt has more people saying nice things about her/him. I too have had strange behavior from this game at times and thought I was going crazy of some thing. but I have never heard of anything negative by Stain Allience. And no my corp is not a member. just an outsiders point of view

Here we go...the 'log isnt there' excuse...simple treat the SA the same as every other pirate organisation... POD on site.... and for god sake come up with an original story Katt..... You murdered someone without warning so you could steal kit, and now your crawling under your SA rock and protesting your innocence..... you go on my POD on site list... your worse than the other pirate scum.... at least they admit what they are.....

I find it amazing that every time someone cries wolf against the Stain Alliance, we're automatically guilty no matter what anyone says to defend themselves. Hey here's a big and powerful alliance, they must be pirates, everyone says they are so it must be true. Even if we fire in self defense no one would believe a word because of all these made up stories and half-truth's
