You do have a very good point though, it is how said alliance(s) treat with other people as to what makes its neutrality, but it has to be internally as well as on the surface. There are relatively few avowed neutral Alliances and groups in the game and accusations are always flying around. Gives us all something to chat about here when the BoB threads get locked.

But really think about it. Trust being neutral didnt save them from a total whopping by BoB and Co. If they re-deployed new shipyards they would undoubtedly go the same way as the old ones. If I were Trust hell yeah I'd join and help the people with the best chance to give the people who just attacked me for no reason a bloody nose.
Much better to re-deploy new yards deep into friendly space where the logistics of a new attack by an aggressor make such an attack a much more dangerous enterprise and where replacements for losses arent as readily available as they were for them in EC.
The ironic thing here is that a week on from the EC-P8R onslaught a new more powerful alliance has been born out of G/TRUST/FATE. All thanks to BoB & Co.

I believe they've sent down 2 frigate squads to Delve in total since we left the north after GNW. They had a fleet in Fountain for 1-2 weeks as well but they lost big in a fleet engagement and left after that.

The fleet in Fountain Core is the one that stands out the most in my memory as that was a proper fleet plus I was there.

All people who are thinking this merger will make no difference to the past, because they are thinking that TRUST was just a hidden industry part of G/Iron. Those people may be really surprised if they realise that this was wrong.
Now we are ONE alliance, now we WILL work together on all levels. The new allaince will benefit a lot now that one of the most powerfull industry alliance merges with some of the best military corps in the game.
Now see what it really means to force us together. See what the attack on our home in EC really caused. Half of the universe did not wantetd that we (TRUST) are neutral, so we will follow those wishes and step back from the neutrality and will invest our power from now on in our new home, invest it in "DUSK and DAWN".

Kinda ironic that BoB attacking means that G end up not really paying for their mothership after all... :P
Regardless of whether you think TRUST were really neutral or not, I think it's very probable that G did pay for their mothership - and now they've formally allied with the people they paid, they effectively get their money back. I doubt they're going to complain about that :)
