1) They logged (can log out of a bubble iirc) 2) They had warp drive active before they entered the bubble 3) You suck 4) You had 2 bubbles on the same grid (Mobile warp disruptors + Interdiction spheres / 2x Interdiction spheres = no warp disrupting, however reading your post I dont think) ---

Maybe your interdictor pilot trained Propulsion Jamming to negative 5, and is giving everyoen warp strength ---

These things are bugged to hell and back. Not much to do except waiting for CCP to do something about, which probably won't happen anytime soon(TM).

Well then the only solution is you didnt place it correct and he was out of range.

Welcome to Interdiction Roulette, betting is now open!
CCP Please rename "Warp Disrupt Probes" to "Interdiction Spheres", thanks! |

Edited by: Ithildin on 10/04/2006 08:32:56 Interdiction spheres work just fine for us, there's a few issues though (not saying they aply in your case, just FYI): * Interdiction Spheres launched in same grid as Mobile Disruptors will have no effect at all. * Interdiction Spheres launched after someone enters warp will not have effect on the person's warp (this aplies to bubbles, too) * Sometimes the interdiction sphere bubble effect remains after the sphere's expired.
In this specific case, though: * Are you sure the bubble covered the place where the Prowler jumped in? * Could the Prowler have moved out of bubble range? * Was the shuttle's origin to gate in line with the bubble? (that is, was the bubble exactly on the line formed between the shuttle's origin and the shuttle's intended destination?) * Where did you place the bubble, exactly?
I know, these are a bit "Hello, IT, have you tried turning it off and on again? Are you sure the cable's plugged in?", but still.

They have issues, a fair number of them.
Though at this time I'm 99.9% certain that you can log out of a bubble. Just not lame enough to do it my self, and to lazy to test out something I'm certain of anyways.
As to your shuttle. Well often a ship will warp in, and be stopped right at that edge of a bubble, had it happen to me several times. After that there's nothing stoping you from warping away.
Also keep in mind, if you start warp before the bubble is down, or before you enter its area of effect, you still get to warp.

I've read more than a couple posts suggesting there were "issues" with interdictor spheres. TBH, that's enough for me to lay off until I hear the "all's clear" signal from people posting that they are more reliable. I mean hell you have so many choices to make in Eve now w/ respect to training paths, why pursue one that involves ship\module that is not "working as intended?"

For a normal bubble you normaly end up about 500-1000m into it. But for an interdictor bubble you really land right at the edge so you can just turn around and warp out. At least that what I have experienced, it's a bit hard to tell for sure when the graphics are bugged. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am 100% dead certain of this. I've witnessed a pilot drop an interdiction sphere from his interdictor and log straight off quite a few times. Dosn't log back on until the fight's over.

damn that blows.
we noticed that you can warp straight through them if starting in the same grid as bubble - as long as you enter warp before crossing bubble. this have been mentioned.
also had 2 gangmates warp right through it (i.e. warp into grid - not getting caught)... and land at their insta. situation here was that they were already in warp (to their insta) before weirda got there and dropped the bubble. so thinking that you may be screwed with someone coming into grid (not by gate) even if all is perfect, but they were IN warp (toward their insta) before you drop it. kind of blows, but imagine there is some sort of LAG race condition going on.
someone did drop a bubble right on the exit point of a station and weirda could not warp out of it (pwnt damn bait/switch tactics ). so not really sure that 'appearing inside the bubble' is specific issue... __ Weirda Assault Ship deserve a 4th Bonus and More!

A person just jumped (in a shuttle) into our gatecamp which consisted of nine medium bubbles and roughly 100 pilots in a variety of ships. He landed well within our bubbles, and immediately logged off. This allowed him to warp out despite being completely enclosed. He proceeded to log on and off repetedly, to the tune of 7+ times, each time hitting the edge of a different bubble before logging, before finally he emerged outside the bubbles entirely and he was able to warp out. We had managed to destroy his shuttle, but not his pod, which was able to instant-warp off whenever he logged. We petitioned this, naturally, but the response was (to paraphrase) this is a known issue, but since everyone can do it it is not punishible at this time.
They NEED to do something about this, because it's an idiotic exploit that renders defensive operations ultimately porous no matter what you do.
