Some things to try:
- Log off, log back on.
- Restart computer.
- Clear cache (see other threads on how to do this)
- Submit a bug report if its repeatable.

i think upto 640 should be OK, but mods prefer much smaller.

Bah, I have one better. I undocked from a station to do some ratting and my deimos's model didn't appear! I warped off and started attacking stuff just fine, killed the rats (which all had their models), got the loot and so forth. I thought it was kind of weird so I went back to the station - but the station wasn't there! There were two sentry guns around, and a FA battleship at sniping range, but no station! I had to right click in space to dock!
The funny thing was that all effects were active just as if my deimos was there. So, I had a green blob (from the armor rep) wandering around with blaster rounds bouncing off it.

My only thought it multiple 3d programs and not enough video card memory / buggy drivers (I used to get this with FFXI when I'd fire it up with a 3d app running in the bg).
