1. Only monday and Jita already clogged? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: zilllii the funny thing is that there is a easy fix for jita. sales and contract tax +500% after a certain amount of sellorders and contracts. the result would be spreading of sales to other systems. but with CCP's infinit...

2. EVE on PPC Macs? - in Macintosh [original thread]
The mac client is using the transgaming cider implementation, which means it runs an unmodified version of the windows client with a win32 emulator. That means basically syscall redirection at a user level, which means that you need an x86 cpu.

8. Trinity v3? - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Those devices are only good for calculating the path that particles would bounce off of. Doesn't really apply in this game, especially since most of the calculations are server side and most particle effects in this game are pretty simple. This i...

9. um.... WTF ? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
My only thought it multiple 3d programs and not enough video card memory / buggy drivers (I used to get this with FFXI when I'd fire it up with a 3d app running in the bg).

10. Is the EVE client really single threaded? (for the devs) - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
From what I saw on the site for the python VM they're using, it'll try to use cooperative/micro threads (in-process) when possible, but will fork a real thread when necessary.

13. Why EvE Time has not changed with the time in the UK - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
daylight savings tends to reduce the energy consumption during the summer (people wake up and turn on lights and things later than they would've). Originally it was intended to give farmers 'an extra hour' in which to work. It's an odd concept. S...

16. Reduce Database Load - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Some items (crystals) degrade after use, therefore cannot be repackaged. Items that have taken damage can't be sold, and have to be repaired before they can be repackaged to be sold.

20. WCS Post. Oveur Don't Read This! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
