Killboards if you fly through the space there are always the interceptor pilots that think there awsome instas and there speed will save them ... That is why you got the loner pilots top of killboards just sitting there waiting for you adding another kill to there name .. Its not about if your a threath its about the kills .. As soon as i specialize more on intys myself ill be picking of thoose fast ones

I dont even enter Low Sec/deep space atm. many reasons for that tho, like:
1a. Too many Pirates makin me WTFPWNed. 1b. The balance between the potential gain vs Nr of times I get Point 1a. (See above) 1c. The increase of Point 1a makes point 1b to decrease. So less gain and more pain
2. Waiting for my skills to get competitive with the pirates. And as a 5 month player, Im not. 3. Got agent missions still in High Sec, so Im not wastin anything I have gained thru restlessness and impatience
I am staying in High sec. Sad, but with the numbers of pirates hanging on every jump point between high/low sec, i dont even bother going there till I get better.
This is not a cry for nerf. just a realisitc observation. I accept the fact, and will face the depth of the deadspace/lowsec when i feel for it.

This is so very true! And if you join a 0.0 corp they usually supply you with loads of BMs for their region. |

I pod jumped myself back to empire the other day to replace my Helios(my own stupidity losing it) on the way back, i'm watching overview and local and seeing NBSI/Supremcy(currently hostile) all over the place and having a near heart attack.. once I got back into Syndicate, I was much more relaxed
I think there is something wrong when I panic in empire, but I am fine in Syndicate I may have to send people shopping for me from now on ----------- /wtb Eris in a cage Sorry, she's not for sale. our lowest time alliance member was 3/4? mths when we moved to syndicate, and one of the people I trust the most to get his job done if you wait to get competative, you'll never get competative
in the skills forum, there is a thread with the top 20 skilled
at least 2 people on that list are people i've shot at or been shot at by The1 has almost 3 times the SP I have(and a sweet Mach that I wanna blow up) Cathryn Wolve has a little over 3times the SP I have if I waited till I was competative with them, i'd never be in 0.0 ----------- /wtb Eris in a cage Sorry, she's not for sale. They key to living in 0.0 is logistics. If you need to go to Empire every time you run out of ammo or missiles or are in need of a mod, you run the risk of shiploss.
Getting into 0.0 (or out) is usually more dangerous than being there. This because of most routes to this space are choke points that are either camped by pirates or those folks laying claim to a region.
If you're a solo pilot, some basic industrial and refining skills are your friend. With the loot you get from hunting and some BPC's you should be set. Only downside is that you'll need access to a Station with Factory slots, and those systems tend to generate some more traffic, thus more folk looking to shoot at you. _

Pretty much the only thing I need to go back to empire for are t2 ships/gear and skillbooks. And like the poster who lives in syndicate I get very nervous in empire because of all the red minuses on screen that I can't shoot. I start thinking they're following me and about to fit a suicide smartbomber to kill me with...

Why can't I ever find newbs like this? Seriously mate if you stick with Eve train skills talk to people and just learn to use your ships with that attitude you will make some CEO very proud to have you in his corp, just remember the secret key to surviving in 0.0 is moving closer to DT by then people are usually pretty liquored up. ----------------------------------------------- Done is done Yes, there will be no taking back Every journey must come to an end All hail to the Gunslinger Beyond our reach, out of control |

+1
I have no doubt in my mind that I have the skills to effectively take out other players. I've done it in Empire space with my Kestrel and Concord did own me.
I understand there is some fear when it comes to 0.0 plus i haven't been on that long either but I've been training up skills to make me very dangerous. There is a guy that we run missions with every now and then that have people fear him in all of Jita. It's funny to watch the local channel when he enters. He regularly hangs out in 0.0 and he teaches the fighters in our corp how to PvP.
Star walker, do like I did. If you decide that you want to go out to 0.0 space, don't go out there with stuff you don't want to lose.
I am definitely going back and i'll just hang out in one 0.0 system as opposed to jumping through them all so I can get better with thinking under pressure.
My corp laughed their asses off on our forum when I told them the story but as a director of the corp, I may make it mandatory that all new players get aquainted with 0.0 space.

My personal setup for traveling through 0.0 without instas (I assume you had none):
High: anything that fits Mid: MWD + as many multispectral jammers you can fit Low: a combination of WCS and nanofibers.
If you do get caught, you have a good chance of jamming the guy(s) tackling you, so you can get out anyway. Not full-proof but it works very well. _________________________________________________________

I had my first trip into 0.0 space tonight in a shuttle. It was very interesting and not the terrible place that many people make it how to be. I would like to do more trips into 0.0 space but I am trying to work out which places are more solo pilot friendly. Can anyone give me any pointers to places I could get away with going solo?

The first run, I made it thru one 0.0 and then I got raped. No, I didn't try to run because I was 20 jumps out from base and it was quicker for me to make it back by just getting podded.
The second run, I made it thru 5 0.0 systems and then noticed someone was on my ass again finally catching up to me which led to me getting raped again.
I'm really impressed by the ability you guys have to catch up to me while I'm trying to please an agent for 30 mil. There was no hard feelings at all plus I didn't loose anything except for some low-cost hardwires and 2 condors. I wsn't going to fly my Ferox out there.
I would love to be able to exist out there one day tho.
So basically you were alone and got ganked, and you say thing is impressive? Ganking requires the least effort, even less than mining.

Anyone else see a oxymoron here, the OP says he was fried twice and Lorth says
"The stories about 0.0 being evil, a gankers relm, and all that are simply stories and nothing more."
If this is the case wtf happened, did he not get gank'd in safe 0.0? Clear to see 0.0 isn't that empty or he would still have his ships.

This happened to me long time ago; one of the most enjoyable moments for me in 0.0... wandering peacefully in Outer Ring/Syndicate areas... I see 20+ ships in local, me in a nano-mwd frig...
Local: You are in NORAD controlled territory! Leave Immediately yada yada... Me: Do me a favor, right click me, check standings... Local: Sorry, no go, leave immediately or face the consequenses...
Ok, at this point I convo the apparent leader of the gang: "Check alliance standings???"
Answer: No, not there, leave or prepare to die...
At this point I think, ok, maybe it's the time for leavage, I set my autopilot to fountain and start jumping...
Convo: Where are you heading??? Me: Fountain Convo: I told you to leave the shortest route
I was thinking, Ok, I know it's not the shortest route but I was heading that way anyway so let's play this for a while...
Me: I am... Convo: (no answer)
It doesn't take THAT long until I got a gang of 10 ceptors up my hind...
We keep jumping gates like there's no tomorrow, they catching up in warp, me leaving them behind because of faster clicking on insta... I pray for not having HUGE systems along the route... Then, suddenly I realize nobodys following me anymore. Maybe they took the wrong turn at Albuquerque???
Convo: Sorry, I just checked the alliance channel and you indeed are +5, just that the standings never was actually set, have a nice day...
Me: Geee, thanks...
Though it was so much fun I could have wanted to see if I can loose them
