That's actually not very surprising, most spacecraft (not deep space probes, mind you), once they drop their booster rockets, carry only enough fuel for a few minutes of actual burn time, because it's only used for slight maneuvering adjustments. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!

What happens if you give different types of apes a camera: chimps will smash it up
gorillas will take it apart, unscrewing it all, not ripping it apart
orangutans will unscrew it all and then put it all back together
bonobos will just have sex with each other and not pay anymore attention to the camera

Ironically, the fact there is more information about sex, sexuality and sex techniques today , on several formats and media, does not imply people are having more sex now than ever before. All in all, we are just more informed, but sexual encounter frequency is still the same. On the same note, Homosexuality is seen as more widespread now, whereas, the rough % of homosexuals is relatively the same now as almost 50 years ago (about 3 men per 10 men and 1 woman per 10 women) . Also as a fact, everytime you are in a system with more than 10 people on it, 3 will be homosexuals, just by the sheer power of math.
Also I love Sexuality as a field of study and as an aspect of human behaviour, as an extra random fact, my thesis work proved Sandra Bem's theory of Psychological Androginy correct on Venezuelan people.
Also as a fact, Psychology IS A Science, and I'm tired of people telling me that Psychology is NOT a Science, that Psychologists USE ESP(!!!) , that there's a psychological law that explains autist children as INDIGO children that are "special" and of a higher plane (!!!!!) and a lot of other poppycock.
So those are my facts to the list

That's actually a fallacy based on faulty interpretation of statistics.
Now, if EVE players were comprised of a completely random set of individuals from the general population, then it would be LIKELY (but not absolutely necessarily true) that 3 people out of 10 in a system would be homosexual.
However, EVE is a very, very, very small sliver of the population (less than 0.015% to be a bit more accurate) and we don't know what portion of the heterosexual/homosexual population it comprises. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!

Hehehe yeap, but just take it as a a fun random "fact" trying to be applied without any degree of seriousness to EVE ingame :P . Coming to think of it would be great to make such a survey in the EVE Community ... hmmmm ... I see my new thesis project for the future . Wonder if I could make such a survey. Would be great to know the sexual orientation of people in MMORPG's.

Here's some more:
The United States has gone to war with Canada twice. Canada won on both occasions. (the first time invading Washington DC and burning down the White House, the second time capturing Detroit)
There are only three countries in the world that do not officially use the metric system - Liberia, Myanmar... and the United States. Liberia and Myanmar use it in practice, however.
Ohio is listed as the 17th state in the U.S., but technically it is number 47. Until August 7, 1953, congress forgot to vote on a resolution to admit Ohio to the Union.

RANDOM FACT: From a small sampling taken here, it has been estimated that the greatest sexual fantasy of more than 75% of the EVE playbase is anal sex. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!
