I have enough skill to have remote manufacturing jobs up to 20 jumps away. I want to install a job 2 jumps away. I have enough minerals at the station to be manufactured at and a BPO in my current station. When I press "ok" on the screen that you set up the number of runs and such, it get stuck at "calculating quote." is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

don't know if I understood that part correctly:
The BPO and the Minerals are not located at the same station?
afaik all building parts (including the BPO) have to be at the same station ... remote only means YOU don't have to be in that station too.
So you never see the complete calculated quote and you cannot simply press accept quote?
and one more thing: you cannot set up the job if you are not in the same region (which might be the case?) - although you would get an error massage for that.

I am in the same region, yes. I was under the impression that Supply Chain Management works the same way as Scientific Networking, allowing you to use BPs that are not at the location you want to research or manufacture at.

I believe that all BPO/BPC and minerals need to be in the same station that the factory is in for remote manufacturing to work. Someone will need to verify as my skills are not high enough for this yet.

I can confirm that it works when alle materials are at the same station
... never thought about using a BPO/C that is located at a different station ... interesting idea, I will try it out  (although I assume that is why it is not working)

Minerals and BPO/C must be in the same station in which the manufacturing is to occur. You can be in a different station.

I've had that message. Instead of telling you that either the mins or BP are not in the right station, it just hangs at the "calculating quote" progress bar.

Just found this bug and I can confirm that if all items, BPx are not at the station the 'Getting Quote' screen just hangs.
Hit esc and it will go away
