EVE Online: Rubicon 1.2 has now been released!
Major changes in the database back-end were introduced with this release which will help to deploy future updates faster and in an easier way. While these changes are quite large, none of those should be immediately noticeable to you, the players, as these changes are done all in the back-end.

Since download, one of my corp members has been unable to successfully log on, it appears the patch broke his launcher, he has tried to run repair, however repair reports incorrect version, granted this could be just an unrelated coincidence of file corruption that happened on the same day as patch... but call me a cynic, as such am posting here, in case others experience this issue, and or to see if our "wonderful" hamsters at CCP have a equally wonderful solution?
Ok I think I have resolved for him....
And yes bingo he logged in...

Courier contracts that can be completed on high sec only routes are showing that the route will take you through low sec (for instance, Maspah to Jita). In actual fact, with my current filters, in the region I'm currently in, ALL contracts are showing that they will take a low sec route. |

Multiple station waypoints in the same system are showing as a single waypoint on the route. Even if this is intentional it's bad without any kind of indicator that it's happening. |

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, this is actually an unforeseen by-product of a fix we made to the way distances are calculated for market order and contracts. Previously that was calculated using a pilots current autopilot settings whereas now they are now being calculated independently based on the shortest possible route. in Ommare the belts have been moved around. for example belt 6-3 is now where 6-2 was and vice versa. its just the numbers that have changed. the current 6-3 looks like 6-2 formation |

I created a multiple waypoint trip, optimized it, and then looked at it in the starmap. The first jump leaving every waypoint is not green/yellow highlighted as the rest of the jumps are. |

My assets window shows that I am 12 jumps to Jita but the route-planner at the top of the screen shows I am in fact 21 !
I "Think" that the assets window is actually showing "Shortest Route" and not taking into account the setting which is set in the route planner window which is "Safest - stay in 0.5 or above" etc.

Hi,
on one of my accounts the map settings window disapears when i open the galaxy map or when i switch to it from the solar system map.
I can only switch back to solar system view by using the scanner menu and the menu returns in solar system map.
Already emptied cache, but didn't help. Other account is fine.
Any suggestions?

CCP broke the autopilot, when a station is the final and only way point left, the autopilot disengages. I wonder how many people end up dead due to sitting like a turd at a gate.
CONFIRMED on 2nd account.
Stations are no longer regarded as a waypoint by the auto-pilot once you jump trough a gate and that gate is an waypoint as well. Once you stop after the final gate and warp to destination station and activate autopilot to dock on landing, it says no waypoint set.
I hate arguing with static minds that relate everything relative to the status-quo. By definition these minds oppose logic, reason, posses a narrow view and object against solutions for issues that have half an existing workaround. Left up to them, nothing would ever progress!

Edit: Found out that i can bring up the menu by right klicking on the map and choosing the right option. But it doesn't stay open.
Same problem here. I made a post about it in another thread but it seems here is the better place for it.
So copying:
A) Hi,
After today's patch I got a map bug.
Specifically, I patched fine, no problems. I have 3 accounts. 1 of my accounts works fine (no bugs). The other 2 accounts have the following bug: When I hit F10 (map), it doesn't show the world map control panel. I hit contrl tab in case it is hidden somewhere but it's not. It's just not there or anywhere. This happens for all chars in those 2 accounts. I have tried resetting cache, using the repair tool through Eve launcher, rebooting, etc.
Hoping for some advice(s).

C) Ah, a little too late to test your workaround.
I, myself, as a last resort, I just cleared all my user specific settings through eve launcher -> eve client settings -> user specific client settings -> clear
This brought my world map control panel back but ofc, I lost all my settings. At least it worked.
D) So anyway, I remembered I had my old settings backed up, so I re-installed them to give your workaround a try cuz I was too lazy to re-do all my settings in all my chars in all my 3 accounts :-/
Your workaround works the same for me (brings back world map control panel) but the problem is it doesn't keep it permanently. Meaning, once you exit map, next time you go to map again, you have to re-do the same procedure.
So I've searched around a little, tested some settings and stuff and I found out that if you go to world map control panel -> star map -> animation and un-check the auto-zoom to selection, then the bug dissapears. The paradox is that by un-checking the auto-zoom doesn't actually work as intented because you still get auto-zoomed when you go to the map.
So to sum it up, we go to world map control panel -> star map -> animation and :
1) un-check Auto Frame selection --> works as intented 2) check Auto Frame selection and then check Auto Zoom to selection ---> bug where the world map control panel dissapears from there on when you go to map 3) check Auto Frame selection and uncheck Auto Zoom to selection -> bug dissapears but strangely enough when you go to map you actually auto zoom to selection
I decided to stick to #3 option till we have some official word about it or w/e. It's just too much of a pain in the a** to re-do all your settings for all your chars otherwise. |

In w-space all bookmarks say 2147483647 jumps distance.
Pre-1.2 the ones in the system you currently are said 0 jumps.
The bookmarks in your current system are still in green font color though as pre-1.2. |

^^ Looks like this already got reported, but this post (mistakenly posted in the feedback thread and moved here) has some additional information.
Hey -- it looks like the "Jita is full" popup that you get when you try to select a character that is currently in Jita is broken. After you log in, try to select a character that is currently in Jita. If Jita is full at that moment, you get the visual effect over the characters indicating that your login was not successful, but no subsequent popup appears asking if you would like to be moved. Furthermore, attempting to select that character does nothing until Eve is restarted completely. Eventually, if you manage to luck into a window of time where Jita is not full, you can enter the game on that character successfully.
Perhaps related to the universe data change? The popup is populated with a list of systems one jump from Jita. This post was crafted by a member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay. |

1- Missing line(s) in the route in map mode: sometimes the route isn't complete when in full map mode, flattened. One segment is missing randomly, last time was the 4th one on a 10 jumps route.
-2 Cat&Mouse info-bubbles mini-game: when hovering the mouse on a system on map mode, the info-bubble shows up ok. but still unable to click on it. Disappears as soon as the cursor is really over it.. so.. can't see the full system list (belts, orbital structures, etc)
3- For me the auto-pilot runs ok. No wait at the last gate, no ramdom pause along the route. Camera controls are set 'to custom tracking position' (I like to see where i fly..)

Maybe i was not specific...try this...and see if you can confirm:
1. set a way-point to a station in another system 2. undock and start warp to gate of the next system 3. while warping right click the gate of the system you plan to go to and choose set as first way-point and activate auto-pilot 4. once you go trough the gate, it is when the bug happens.
* You will see no station selected anymore as a way-point * if you start autopilot, you get the message: no way-points set * if you retry to set a waypoint to the station, it says you cant set to the same station twice

Please try to write a bug report from the client while sitting at this black screen (F12, last option), assuming the bug report window works in this case. Unable to update. Have tried to launch EVE through both the launcher and the executable, both start and say there is update. Start update through launcher and it fails and crashes. Start update through executable and is it say that it cant run as the client is still running. Try repair tool and it just fails. I have restarted and still it persist. |

That is conflicting information given by the NPC. Especially for newer players (which I'm not) that can be very confusing. |

So my unbugged chars auto-zoom, my bugged chars auto-center (zoomed out), even though I have same settings for all.
I decided to stick to #3 option till we have some official word about it or w/e. It's just too much of a pain in the a** to re-do all your settings for all your chars otherwise.
After following these repro steps, we have successfully reproduced this on our local clients and we are working on a fix. Thank you all for bringing this to our attention and thank you Master Odysseus for taking the time to figure out the exact bug! |

Yes this is a related issue tied to a rewrite of our path-finding tools due to the universe data changing. We are re-evaluating our assumptions and will try to clear up messaging to make these jump counts a bit less ambiguous.

Issues with the autopilot were fixed in Rubicon 1.2.1
The issues remain: With Prefer Safer setting, when viewing a courier contract from Jita to Dodenvale, it is marked as Low Sec with 6 jumps at 1m/jump, but if I set my destination as Dodenvale when I'm in Jita, it shows 12 jumps through highsec. |

Issues with the autopilot were fixed in Rubicon 1.2.1 The issues remain: With Prefer Safer setting, when viewing a courier contract from Jita to Dodenvale, it is marked as Low Sec with 6 jumps at 1m/jump, but if I set my destination as Dodenvale when I'm in Jita, it shows 12 jumps through highsec.
I'm seeing the same thing with Item Exchange contracts. Sitting in Dodixie I look at an Item Exchange with a location of Jita, contract is flagged 'route will take you through: lowsec', but if I right click and set destination I get a purely highsec route. |

Hi, ever since the last few patches, eve won't remember what resolution I use nor will it remember that I increase the ui scaling to 125%. Eve keeps defaulting to window mode at 1024*768 with ui to 100%.

The same problem occurs when viewing escalations in the Expeditions tab of the Journal: it shows the number of jumps taking the Shorter route, regardless of personal Autopilot settings.
While not a game-breaking bug, it does lead to some confusion when multiple escalations are present. |

Route preference is still being ignored. The system wasn't completely correct to begin with, in that for instance a Jita-Larryn contract has never shown as including any Low Sec, although there is no way to get there without going through Low Sec. Now it's the opposite, with routes like Jita-Hek and Jita-Dodixie all showing as Low Sec, ignoring the Prefer Safer setting, so showing the wrong security level, the wrong number of jumps and the wrong isk per hour.

I'm still seeing two 1.2 bugs as of today:
- DED complexes don't seem to be spawning (perhaps for the same reason asteroid belts weren't respawning until today?). Yesterday and today I spent several hours searching two entire regions and have not found a single DED complex, where before in a similar time period on a weekday I'd see a dozen or more.
- Autopilot waypoints to solar systems are showing extraneous boxes in the autopilot HUD display. That is, a waypoint to a system shows a "+" for that system, followed by another solid box for the same system; sequential waypoints to adjacent systems therefore alternate between + and box, where
And a forum bug as long as I'm here: almost every time I try to post in any thread, when I check the box to "receive notifications for this topic" and then click "post", the text box empties itself. I then have to click the "saved draft" to get the text back and try a second time to post it. |

Omnidirectional Tracking Link - Incomplete UI / Patch?
Now that the OTL has been upgraded to an active unit, the UI no longer conforms to the display convention used for other active units: i.e. hovering over the button on the HUD should bring up the unit's name and Vital Statistics, ESPECIALLY so as to reflect changes brought about in perfomance when different scripts are loaded.
(As a minor aside: something that causes confusion for newish players:- although in the Attributes section of the description, it does note that Tracking Scripts are the charge group, it is the only unit that I use that has a Script image different from the module image. Perhaps the fact that both Tracking Computer and OTL modules use the script could be highlighted somewhere?) Thanks Marcus |

Owing to the unique operational nature of the MJD, it is UNIMPORTANT to have any display cycle time for when the unit is operating (as with MWD or AB), but it is VERY important to know when the unit is RECHARGING!
Constantly spamming the button, because you need to operate the unit, in the middle of a battle, only to have a pop-up obliterate the middle of your screen view which explains that you have 1 min 12 secs to go before it can operate (then 26 secs, because you don't have time mid-fight to consult a stop-watch, then 3 secs) is ridiculous and cumbersome.
Can I suggest the right fix would have been to provide a recharge single-cycle timer on the HUD button that counts up (similar to a mining laser etc) to show that the unit is re-booting and that as soon as the cycle timer disappears, the unit is again available for operation. (If people really need to know to the second how long to recharge, that could be provided in a pop-up while hovering over the button, like all other active modules.
Just a bit disappointed this otherwise excellent piece of kit wasn't fixed this time around.

This morning, logged in right after DT and 2 of the totally stripped belts in my system are still empty. Others seem rather weak as well... |

I have the same issue - everything works perfectly as it did before, however, since the 1.1 update I'm also missing missile smoke trails! Everything else is there, except the smoke. Well, I don't have Comcast, don't have connection issues, and am also experiencing 10+ socket closed errors a day when running multiple clients. Not only that, one account gets added to the fleet but does not get fleet bonuses, my hangars in station are no longer persistent, and the character portraits in station that I thought were newbros (because they appear as black squares) some 8 days ago still appear as black squares. These socket closed errors are making it impossible to do much of anything (except restart clients over and over) and the lack of persistence, failure to update, and no bonuses have forced me to conclude that there is more going on here than a bad connection. I don't know what's going on but I sure hope it self-corrects relatively quickly.

Since 1.2 agent dialog have been periodically unresponsive or misrepresenting actual standings (and options), requiring re-logs sometimes to get proper options.
The input focus for the keyboard has been jumping around on session change, making people accidentally type in search boxes and the like unintentionally and filtering away half ones ships (a shock if you don't know whats going on).
The directional scanner window sometimes gets permanently deleted, so you have to open it every time when undocking. A quick but imperfect workaround is to stack it with your cargo window and have that always open too.
This and a ton of network issues it seems I hate arguing with static minds that relate everything relative to the status-quo. By definition these minds oppose logic, reason, posses a narrow view and object against solutions for issues that have half an existing workaround. Left up to them, nothing would ever progress!

I can confirm, did not want to post it at first as i did not do enough due diligence on my side of the connection. But yes, its been hell connection and patching wise. Confirming the same problem with the belts in multiple systems I have checked. The belts were not mined prior to the patch, they just expanded to 4 times their normal size after the patch. Subsequent patches have not fixed this. |

I have some issues with scanning down sites using probes. When ever there is a system with many sites to be scanned, my probe scanner freezes when trying to scan them down, yet i still hear the sounds of a successful scan or even a completed scan, but i can't see nor warp to it. When i leave the system and come back the probe scanner is working properly, but when i try to scan the sites down again, the problem comes back. Even weirder, it appears that it's happening on specific solar systems like Nikkishina and Asakai for example (which I visit everyday), but in other systems my probe scanner is working fine. I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this, but it started happening after the 25.2.2014 server reset, and it's been going on for two days now. Before that date, everything was working properly.

Two problems to report on my Laptop with AMD 4000 GPU (will check my games machine later).
1. The overview is not updating correctly when in space, there are ghost faded out ships left until the next system change like jumping through a gate etc.
2. If I hover the mouse pointer over the icon for GÇÿAdaptive Invulnerability Field 1GÇÖ (when in space) the pop out text box flashes at about 1 Hz, it looks like something is trying to draw over the lower half of it. So far no other icons seem affected.

I can't recall if the popup notifications and the EVE-menu blinking didn't have any relationship before the patch, but I also don't remember getting frustrated by the lack thereof until after the patch.
It would be swell if clicking the popup notification (e.g. for new mail) would also discontinue the EVE-menu blinking the button for the item previously attended to via the popup. |

I just want to say I had this same issue my launcher would come up but there was no spot to type in my username or password it was just blank in that area I had to run the repair tool that didn't fix it and then i restarted and ran repair tool again then it worked after the second repair. Thanks for the info!

Expeditions seem to be bugging out and breaking, specifically Blood and Sansha expeditions, both high and low sec.
I'll get to the next escalation, hit the trigger whether it's killing a ship, building, or shooting at something and the message will appear just like everything worked. After I clean the area out and check my journal I don't have a new entry. Everything happens that would indicate the expedition continued to escalate, but I don't get a new destination. This has happened 5 times since 1.2, and never before then, so I assume it's related to this patch but I could've just been lucky before.
It's really frustrating to go from this: =D

Nope, because I'm usually busy getting shot in the face for the next 15 minutes and/or watching D-scan right after it happens. A lot of these sites aren't easy for me, but the next few I run I'll try isolating the trigger, popping it last, and then handling the bug report if it bugs out.

I am having problems with my eve launcher I try to bring it up it goes to offline mode. I bring it up without the launcher I get error 101/103 after I try to log in. I have done a repair on it twice. I even turned off my spyware and virus protection/firewall to see if that would help. I logged in for a few minutes earlier today but it kicked me off saying something about the sockets.
What else do I need to do? 
Are the severs just messed up today?

For the last few days I'm having trouble trying to get into eve.
I can login okay and then choose my character.
But then eve seems to hang for 10 or more seconds when trying to load the station view.
And then I receive a Connection lost message and socket closed error and have to start again.
It took me 4 attempts earlier before I can final log into the station view.
Hopefully a fix will be coming soon. |

Since the 1.2 patch i've had weird fps issues, where my R9 290 is at 100% activity, it's almost like there's something else in EVE eating up my GPU usage, i hope no one at CCP HQ are using AMD gpus for mining BTC or LTC xD
before patch it was solid 60 fps vsync and 100+ when not vsync, and now it's horribly at less than that(10-35) and most likely because of the 100% activity leak from EVE itself.
full spec is AMD FX 8320 AMD R9 290 16gb ddr3 ram 250gb SSD, where EVE resides.
there has been other instances with game clients operating shadow btc mining tasks for user's GPUs, please don't tell me CCP are trying it out too. |
