On a little exploration through Cloud Ring and then Fountain I suddenly saw local fill up. I start a convo in local to learn more about what was going on up there. I saw several Fountain Alliance members and this VC fleet thru my travels in Fountain and found out that the area is claimed by several Alliances.
While I was talking to them I was pod killed. No Warning... not even a customery reach around.
So I figure they can only kill noob miners in shuttles by leading them on and then killing them for no reason. Either you are a pirate, which I would understand if your kind replys in local were yarr and what not, or you are griefers.
Poor and pathetic in my book. i hope my kill boosts someones kill board ranking. You guys are uber!!
AND NO. I'M NOT AN ALT!!!

I was hoping for a good read
Was that all? I'm afraid, my good fellow, that will happen wherever you go. But then I'm the kind of person after chatting with someone I usually don't have the heart to kill them =)

I'm so sorry for you fats0 I'm sure every other alliance would have welcomed you in their space. Because space without a fats0 is space without a cause.
P.S.: Don't forget to post every time you get killed in 0.0

Unfortunatly if you are in a shuttle in 0.0 and even worse a noob player you will be instantly labeled a scout and destroyed. While your sitting there chatting you could be scanning their fleet.
Mate you made a mistake is all. Not VC 's fault that would have been done to you by 95% of entities in EVE.

Do not blame anyone else for your stupidity.
You gain a level of self control by admitting YOU did somethign stupid and paid the price. Blaming others for your stupidity keeps you in that frame of mind where the "I didn't do anything wrong and the bad man put me down" approach prevents you from learning from your own mistakes.
In other words, BOO FREAKIN HOO!!

New players in new corps are labled spies because that profile fits the alt spy setup in 0.0. Even Huzzah who operate a Not Red Don't Shoot policy will target and kill people that fit the above profile.
You got pod killed whilst talking to them, what was wrong with finding a safespot and doing it from there. Learn from this experience and you will be better suited next time for your explorations. As the area is a war zone then you will have an even better chance of being killed by any and all sides. Of course a solution might be to stop alts altogether which might not be a bad thing at all.

Even the very friendly and open Big Blue will shoot shuttles from noob corp. 9 out of 10 shuttles in from a noob corp are spies/scouts and will be dealt will accordingly everywhere in 0.0

Poor and pathetic in my book. i hope my kill boosts someones kill board ranking. You guys are uber!!
AND NO. I'M NOT AN ALT!!!
VC was 100% correct to pod you.
And for the record, FA and my alliance are enemies.
I've long been on record as wanting high security space to be safe even for stupid and careless carebears, but as soon as you go below 0.5, you enter a different game.
On a related note: Your comment "Poor and pathetic in my book. i hope my kill boosts someones kill board ranking. You guys are uber!!" does cover one area where it is possible a PvPer can make a mistake, but I don't have any reason to believe that VC made the mistake.
When serious PvPers kill helpless noobs and spies pretending to be noobs, it is NOT a case of them wanting to be "uber". It is a case of security. ANYONE who is not CONFIRMED friendly must die if there are forces on hand that can kill them.
Repeat: ANYONE who is not CONFIRMED friendly must die if there are forces on hand that can kill them.
The reason for this is two fold:
One: In a claimed region, it is "My" region. Unless you got "my" permission BEFORE arriving, you die. And I do NOT have to grant permission, not even if you ask nicely and offer to pay. Yes, that means the NPCs and ore in the region are MINE. They are NOT there for peaceful players who just want to mine a bit for themselves and don't want to get involved in the 0.0 fights. Unless you are paying a rent, or helping defend, you dont have any right to those resources. In this regard, unknowns are killed to secure regional ownership.
Two: Tactical security. All unknowns are assumed hostile until PROVEN otherwise. An unknown in a shuttle is a set of eyes, and that set of eyes must be killed if at all possible. Even if docked, he can report to enemies on what we have in system. Even if safe spotted, he can use his scanner. He is a threat. He must PROVE he is not a threat (nearly impossible) for this not to apply. Even then, if he is in my home region, he dies anyway for trespassing.
And if you encouter a pirate, he'll ransom you or kill you anyway in case you have high value cargo or a costly clone.
Killing helpless noobs in 0.0 is not lame. Its unavoidable. It would be lame to treat such a kill as significant PvP victory (claiming to be "uber"), but I've no reason to believe that was done.

This is the typical mark of the insecure mind that theu need to shut the world out and cry and lash out when it intrudes on them. Think different, think Freespace.

DaveyE, anyone can claim that. I know a number of BoB alts have "VC alt" in their Bio. You're funny.

In the past I've called such thinking "utopian pie in the sky nonsense". Its actually worse. It wants to tear down what "works" and replacing it with what is proven to be worse.
In Eve terms, if you think pointless gate ganking is bad now, you aint seen anything if there is nothing to fight over. While foolish "true carebears" don't want non-consensual PvP to even exist, most folks in Eve, industrialist and PvPer (and mixed) recognize that PvP is a core part of Eve.
Regional "control" gives player groups something to aspire to and something to fight over. It is arguably the highest form of group PvP.
If there is nothing to fight over, the quality of PvP will drop to new lows.

(In pure seriousness, "Free Space" is fine roleplay for a nomadic group)
