For EVE to be done any justice, it would have to be a featurelength CG movie, ala that crappy Final Fantasy movie, but with an insane and brutal story.
It could be done I guess. I dunno, how bad do you want drugged out, buried in wires, clones as the heroes in your sci-fi flicks? It would require quite an imagination to bring it to a visual medium properly, and I wonder if any major studio has that at the moment.
What a trip it would be though.....

Don't read to much into the movie part. Games and books are frequently "optioned" by producers who think they have the possibility of being a good film, but the vast majority of these options are never produced. An option merely represents the right to make a film sometime in the future. In reality, an option may actually inhibit future development of the idea because only the owner of the option is allowed to develop it.
Therefore, if someone options EVE but sits on the idea (which happens often) then noone other then that person will be able to make an EVE movie until the option expires.
If you ever wondered why it took them 10 years to make a Doom movie, thats why.

CCP says the voice was done by "Carolyn", I think it was the chick from Weird Science.

While I'd love a well done eve movie, the idea that the "interest" could be uwe boll is enough to turn my stomach 
Don't think an eve film would have to be about pod-pilots, plenty of non pod-pilot matari rebels out fighting the evil amarr empire, supposedly

Billy Bob Thorton (Yes we need Spacehicks)
Paris Hilton (We need something to drool and puke at)
Everybody's Favorite Space Cowboy Clint Eastwood (We need old, make him a spiritual advisor)
And No Successful Movie Cannot be without Ben Affleck (Hey we need at least 1 star who would be willing to work within 80 feet of Paris Hilton).
Round Out the Cast with Hillary Duff and Bill Clinton.. and we have a movie!!

Paris Hilton isnt completely useless.. I have some uses for her. She just needs to turn around and shut up.

i wholeheartedly endorse this movie and or product providing...
the true charm of eve is not lost, the pirate vs carebear, the BoB vs everyone, the snowballs, the GMs getting in ships and kicking the snot out of people for no reason, the huge fleet battles, the ebil that is warp core stabs, the badgers full of zyd in ec with no insta, the endless list of noob ship deaths and looting 1 trit from them.
keep that in and itll be gold.
oh and ill be played by arnie

The movie would be dark and gritty and directed by Joss Whedon. It would focus on the Gallente and Caldari War (orbital bombardment of caldari prime anyone). That is all.
