its not possible to be a jove until the next patch/version/client thingy

Maybe in the future you might be able to have a Jove character. Until then, I'll be waiting patiently.

You have to be a dev to get a Jovian portrait. It's no different to normal character (attributes might be cool though). If someone does give you the opportunity to become Jove, I'd say do it

if someone offered me the chance to be jove, whether or not i did it would depend on a lot. if it would break my character, no way. if everyone could do it, probably not.
but if it was a rare thing, all the way

Meh, the day we can make Jove chars is the day CCP totally ruins that race.
The Jove are not on the same level as the 4 empires. They are far more advanced, and more powerful. Things like Gist shield boosters are OLD jove technology, so just think of what the normal jove mods are like now.
Then think of what their T2 items would be like.
Jove being a normal playable race would be totaly ***, unless they suffered realdeath, and were the only ones who could use jove ships/mods maybe.

2 years from now, u'd need lvl 5 on a certain ship class to able to learn jove,
say caldari\gallente\amarr\minm frig to 5 + assault ships to 3 to fly the jove frigs, like collect all technologies.. i unno, just an idea anyhows :P

i would have fun in a polaris frig, fit it with 7k scrams, and fly around hotspots, while holding bs's down that are tanking the guns.
that = free loot no sec hit

not much i could do... they pulled me there in a pod

well, for starters, most icelandic people can make themselves understandable in english, I suspect at ccp hq they are quite fluent in it.
Edit: jove tech is closer to like T6 or T5 then T3, their frigs fit jump drives for pete's sake
EDIT: Jove tech I believe is more like T6 then T3. since a jove frig can fit a jump drive....

these were fixed thou in very early patches.
