Hi all,
We have been following your various threads and wishlist and and in today's Sisi update, you will be seing a few Little things changes from Team Super Friends and Team Pirate Unicorns.
CCP Punkturis returned back to work to give you some nice things:- guest List in stations can be viewed in compact mode
- Guest list tab has a counter to show you how many pilots are in the station
- Guest list can be searched similar to search in hangars
- You can now assign a label when you add a contact
- You can now have multiple Kill Reports open at a time. You open a Kill Report in a new window by holding down shift when it's opened (note: this is already possible for Show Info windows and saved fitting windows).
- Orbital bodies in the Show Info window will now have a more functional right click menu, as will many other items in the Info windows
CCP Merc and myself have also been working on a few things- You can now specify words to filter out in chat, and also words to hightlight. You can choose to have the highlighted words always blink the chat tab, even though the channel is set "Blink Off"
- The "Consume" right-click option on drugs has been promoted, and is now towards the top of the menu
- The "Fitting" tab in the Show Info window has been given a bit of a facelift
- The capacity of the bays of your current ship is now displayed in a bar in the Show Info window
We have a few things we are still working on... some of which I think many of you will be quite interested in so please stay tuned.
Please test out these things and tell us what you think and please let us know if you find something that's broken CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Pirate Unicorns |-á@CCP karkur |

Chat is (mostly) fixed now on Singularity and another "little thing" from CCP karkur has been enabled with this patch. Feel free to search for it in the client, but I'm sure that she will announce it soon. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock-á Bug reporting | Mass Testing |

Wilhelm Ormand wrote:Great to see some chat (and guest list) changes, they will be welcomed. To go a little furter in this, I would to request the option to have standings shown in chat. I'm also very interested in it ("hey, were we the only ones gf-ing in local or did the other side do it too?" ) and have protyped it. However, before we add it, I want to make sure there are no performance issues with it and I haven't had time to go into that yet.
Holly Hauler wrote:Would it be possible to turn this into a feature that auto-blocks users that use the highlighted word x times in y minutes for XX days / hours / minutes and then un-blocks them in a special part of your contact list names ( Auto-Block) f.e. without giving one of you severe headaches? That's like a totally different system that would need to be built, and I don't see us turning this into that anytime soon, sorry

hydraSlav wrote:Kel hound wrote: [Tiny side note - Would it be possible for these sliders to also be movable with the scroll wheel? Say for instance, I just click on one, then move it with the scroll wheel? As a matter of fact, any numeric input field can be adjusted with a scroll wheel by its lowest interval. Try that on market order's quantity, just flick the wheel to bump the quantity to 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. This is a feature of the UI as a whole, rather than any specific window. On the new DScan, when you set input to the AU field, you can use the scroll wheel to adjust it, however it goes in 0.1 intervals.... so this can take a while. That's correct... but in my experience you can scroll very fast through all these numbers, way faster than I thought you could (it was even fast when we had 2 decimals)
Amarisen Gream wrote:Where are the S&I updates? Or will we not see them in 1.3 Do tell, b/c knowing the current goal would help my anxiety levels decrease a little.
p.s. Even if you goal is 1.3 and you tell me it is, I will not get mad if it doesn't make it b/c of some issues. Just would love a heads up on what to expect.
xoxo Sorry, but no, there won't be any Science and Industry changes in 1.3, but that does not mean that we have forgotten about you, so please be patient
Andronitis wrote:Why is 0 AU even an option? It's not even like a super short range or even on grid scan. It is 0 KM. Extremely useless. I would like to see more values between 1 AU and 5 AU since all the input fields are connected, the lowest option of the slider needs to be the lowest number you can put in the input fields. 0.5AU is 74799000 km, which might be a higher value than you want to use, so having it go from 0 allows you to pick any km you want and just makes sense to us CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Pirate Unicorns |-á@CCP karkur |

Dav Varan wrote:Will the new dscan window have a equal fixed spacing between scan angle selections like original incarnation ? current proportional spacing makes 15 degs so fiddly to select.
yes, they are now in even increments
Edward Olmops wrote:The D-Scan changes are certainly cool. But in terms of usability... would it be possible to make the buttons on the range/angle rulers a bit bigger? I always have trouble grabbing them quick enough. (they are about the same size as the overheat rack buttons and everyone agreed those are too small) To be honest, we don't really have the space for it. However, when you click on the slider, the handle will move there... or to the closest option (you see where it will land when you mouse over it because the tick lights up a little bit) CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Pirate Unicorns |-á@CCP karkur |

Jinn Aideron wrote:Now, I feel perfectly terrible for listing these because I dearly, dearly love everything the new DScan panel is. I want to make a stuffed animal from it and take it everywhere I go! From where I stand, the DScan as is on Sisi at time of writing/testing can remain untouched and would deliver a VAST improvement over TQ DScan in every relevant way. Thank you again, for having spent time on this change! Thank you for the kind words Please don't feel terrible! These are great points, and I will go over them and make sure things are the way we want them to be
In the original post I mentioned that the "Entering numbers in the AU field in D-scan is a bit broken", so I believe that's the issue in your last point. I have already fixed it(this is fallout from some last minute change I made before checking it in), but i'm not sure when Sisi will be updated with the fix. If it's still the case when using the mousewheel to select those AU numbers, then we have another issue The max value of the KM field is set to be 14.3 AU, so I would find it strange if it was higher than the slider or the AU field, but i'll make sure I set it correctly

Jinn Aideron wrote:CCP karkur wrote:that was the case before, but now the km field should literally be maxed at 14.3 * 149598... no longer the max int *returns from quick visit to Sisi w/ a clarification* ;) It is true that you cannot exceed the km field by slider or entering AU directly. But you can do this (steps to reproduce):
- Max out slider
- Enter a leading 9 into the km textfield
- Remove keyboard focus from km textfield
- Fallback mechanism caps at 2^31-1, with traditional warning sound
Now, if this ~8m km higher value for range later takes effect in the scan, I couldn't not verify, because I could not readily find anything to scan for at just the right distance D, 2.139.249.551 km < D < 2.147.483.647 km. :) Thank you You're absolutely correct... I was setting the max value to m instead of km so it was way too high and capped at max int, will fix CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Pirate Unicorns |-á@CCP karkur |

Is it possible to add a column "watch list" style column to the overview. Pros: Easier for logistic ships to see who or what needs healing. Would also reduce the number of windows on a persons screen. Cons: Might be to easy for logistics to see peoples health. If it displays the health for everything on grid, could be a lot of information, so would need options to limit which groups are shown. It's very expensive to send information about everyone's health to everyone on the grid and is not something we could now easily do without a risking performance. The watchlist only had max 10 people until 2 or so years ago because of that. CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Pirate Unicorns |-á@CCP karkur |

Oh, I dont want any of that saveable, dropdown menu thingy stuff. Atm on the test server there is that totally awesome range slider, which has several ranges saved, like 0km, 1 AU, 5 AU etc. All I want is PLEASE add one more option to that bar! 200 000 km! This alone would basically cut the time I have to spend messing with the dscan in half in factional warfare. We just changed the lowest value on the slider to 100 000 km (can go lower with the km field), and changed it so a scan is performed on releasing the slider. Wow you just posted while I was editing my post oO Thank you a lot! I really dont want to be picky here but ehm...exactly 100 000km is too close. Some complexes have a distance between acceleration gate and the warp-in beacon of exactly 100 000km, so this would get some wacky results once whoever is inside slowboats a couple of kilometers away from that beacon in the wrong direction. Oops, Fozzie just pointed out to me that I wrote the wrong distance... it's actually 1 million, which we think will cover those cases well. Would that work for your use case?
