Can some one please inform me how to use the Python & anaconda mines?. Skill need to use is missile launcher LvL1, but you cant load in any missile launcher, tried them all. Tried jettisoning them, think they may deploy that way, but no, just a can pops out. Checked Eve info site on item in game,not listed. I am truely up lifes creak without a paddle, so any help i would be gratefull for. Thanks in advance. Syd

mines are disabled due to griefers, and probally will never return.

You can't use them, basically.
It used to be possible to launch mines from missile launchers, when the launchers had much bigger internal capacity than nowadays (and missiles were larger, too)
But because mines weren't doing much damage, they were pretty much deployed in large amounts just to cause hell of lag for people who'd be jumping into the system, thus giving the 'defenders' in system unfair advantage.
So they were made impossible to launch, and scheduled for 'who knows when' to maybe get revision into something useful.
Think there's few agents nowadays that can still offer them as mission rewards, but other than that they're useless.

Thanks for your help. Bought the BPO's for the two set for 9.5 million isk, they saw me coming. Well in the corp hanger with them and be dammed. Would have been nice to play with anew toy though. :)

CCP cud introduce a skill for how many mines you can have deployed.
Then again a whole alliance together cud still drops ****loads of mines somewhere .

CCP should convert all currently anchored secure cans to mines would be fun to see.
But seriously as other people have said they have been removed and will probably never be seen again.

make them like a single fire medium smart bomb that activate 4000m radius wide only on non gang member, easily fitable on frigate, 20 sec reloading, 10 min lifetime, can't be deployed if something is in the radius (like another mine so no stacking).
with that it should not be overpowered at all but still useful.

Could just make them an anti-drone weapon...something like each launcher holds one of a certain size. Launch one and it moves to a skill determined distance of you and blows up damaging in a skill determined distance. The small ones wud be designed to kill small drones, medium mediums and siege large. That leaves amarr using smarties and min and gall having a use for that occasional missile launcher and caldari with a direct answer to gallante.

Yeah. Like we'd need a drone counter Just try shootign em, ECMing em or waitign tillt heir stupid AI screws them up. Damn caldari wnating to eb more an more uber. For the record I spec in drones and gallante ships. I also think missiles need nerfing and ecm needs changing, including nos. Not the most partisan of people.

Like what? you can only fire one light missile every one hour?
