/whine on
Allright, why am i writing here... first of all
on the "****ed" scala from 1-10 i'm currently staying on an 11.
Ok here's what happend, i docked at my mainstation where i keep my ships and all that stuff, i knew that i had clonejumped the other day at this time cause i had to do some business in 0.0 , so i wanted to jump back to get into my MAIN who contained an almost complete set of + 3 Basic Implants. I tried to, it canceld with the message "you have to abort your skill..". Alright of course, forgot that again, so i aborted my current skill, jumped and...
nothing happend, i checked in the jumpclone page. No Jumpclones installed. I was like, wtf. Am i at least in my Main back ? I'm obviously not, and every single Implant is just gone. (I know how to use jumpclones so don't tell me they are on the other jump clone, there is noen) Now i'm sitting here, ****ed and trying to write a petition (currently on a 7 of the scale) i entered every friggin detail... and since that was my first petition ever it asked me ingame to create an account, i entered my infos and wanted to submit...
"Server Error 500"
Suddenly my anger has risen to 11 (where i am right now), the whole text was gone, the petition is lost and the system is not working at all and no place i can find to enter my worries at all. So to everyone that encounters some problems with jumpclones today, doublecheck wether your implants are in place.
I'm out for today, with slow learning i guess for a couple days till this petition system is fixed reentered everything and they have looked into it...
*sigh*

Use an out of game petition (under ask a question) in the forum nav-bar. I had a corpmate have this happen with a set of fullgrade snakes. Can't be intended by ccp. www.woodentoyandgift.com/eve/hippo_wor.jpg[/IMG]

Sorry to hear of your loss Obmud, and I understand your fustration.
I myself use jump clones, and haven't had this issue, I think the reason for this is that I follow some simple rules when clone jumping.
1. Never have your jump clone and Clone in the same station. 2. Never "Clone Jump" from the station where your clone is located. (Same as rule 1 really) 3. Never "Clone Jump" from the same station you already have jump clone. 4. Dont create a jump clone where you already have a jump clone. (You get warned for this anyway)
I wish you luck on your petition though.

damn feel for you ... happened to a corpm8 of mine, jumpcloned and lost all implants. I'm really suprised it hasn't been fixed yet as this is a nasty bug
I really want to setup an empire training clone with a full set of +3 or +4's for long skills but no way i am risking 100-500mil on buggy jumpclones.

Logging out for 4-5 minutes probably shows you your implants. Iirc you get a popup asking wich of the clones will be processsed into protein delicacies.
'Server not available' can happen when you have a web service on the other end. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

hmm .. only time i have seen implants lost in a clone jump is when the clone you are jumping to is in the same station as yourself. Usually a warning appears saying that you can only have one jump clone at the station, and that one of them will be destroyed along with any implants it has fitted, if you attempt to clone jump. If you have switched that warning off (ie ticked the box "Don't show this message again")then maybe it is possible to lose implants without warning when you clone jump in such a situation.
I have been clone jumping between 2 clones and my main for a while now and have not (so far) lost any implants by accident. I did test what happened if you ignored the warning and lost a clone with some basic hardwiring implants. Needless to say i havent tried that test since - once was enough

There are three ways to petition: in game, "ask a question" on the website and . Usually in game is fastest, "ask a question" second place and emailing is slowest.

Remember to check out that server error he talked about Wrangler.. just in case you did not see that one (did not really sound like it)
And when I say check out, ask the one that does the web site stuff to check it.. -------------

ingame never works
ask a question takes an age and e-mail is longer???
after all that they might tell you they cannot find the information so 'sorry'
ur loss sucks (hope they can replace them) adn the bit when u got that server message made me laugh (only because I 've been there) GL

yeah that error when filing a petition and creating your account (even if you don't have to create an account it happens sometimes) gets me EVERY time, so now I copy and paste before petitions (not that any of them ever get awnsered anyway).
Going on 3 days with my current petition and havn't gotten a response yet

This happened to me too. I was in 0.0 in my jump clone and then clone jumped back to the empire...all the empire implants disappeared.
Petition it. I petitioned it and got my implants back about 2 weeks later.

I just checked, the implants are gone. Maybe it was because of the reasons stated above, i didn't know that but it keeps questioning me why CCP hasn't just Disabled any Jumping to Clones in the same station till that bug is fixed. This is not unlike a ship that won't matter if its not replaced within a certain amount of time, implants are used over time, so this will cost me days of learning till i EVENTUALLY get the implants back. I hope the support is working on that matter well.

That's a hard loss friend. However the one and only time I nearly did the same as you have done, having just setup a new "clean" clone for a bit of PvP, I got a message along the lines of "If you active this clone all other clones in this station will be destroyed" or words to that effect. Did you maybe miss the health warning by mistake? If not then it really sucks and a petition is the way ahead.

I've been using jump clones with several implants in a few of em pretty much non stop for months.
I've never lost a set of implants. A few things do destroy jump clones -- dying and respawning in a station where your death clone and jump clone are both set.
Also jump cloning to the station you're docked at = bad.

yes, fly to a station where you have a jump clone, and try clone jumping to it, and CAREFULLY read the VERY VAGUE warning message it gives you. *shudder*
when +4s are on the line, its not worth it.

hmm strange that all bugs only gives us disadvantage... Why isn't it for example, that when I use a jumpclone that I 'magicaly' receive a new +5 set?
