any speculation on just how high it will go?
It has nowhere to go but up, its the only way to counter the influx of empire cash that will drive up PLEX funded subs.
I'll say over 600isk by March The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

certainly it will be over six hundred isk. If you think about milions of isk. Then thats possible however i expect number of "Active accounts" to drop by half .. and thats pretty optimistic guess...
anyway great bear buff... is kind of funny since there is no such thing or even an hint about it.
Its more like greate gank buff. |

uh-huh some reading .. right
so lets see ..
Thats gank stuff right ? destroyers buffed to oblivion .. means you get just above 500dps from 3 mil ship ... Gank 850+ dps or 12k volley or whatever tier III battlecruisers.
Lets see at high sec bear stuff.. Remote effects get warning if the target is flagged Scamming in official recruitment chanells is "somewhat" bad wardec shield / old news.
Incursions / which is the only thing in high sec worth mentioning .. dont have info *
Null sec bears Something about anomalies / if its making them more profitable - pointless / if its making it the way they were - hurray for blue care-bear heaven i like /
Something with rogue drones loot / ** dont know
Anyway price of PLEX is totally not connected to any of those changes whatsoever. If players chose to sell them for 650mil so be it. Yet i cant see anyone who actually play the game to bother with it, and will just let it go. Botters well they can still get that i assume.
personal disclaimer : i dont care either way. |

some good points, but the biggest buff is the mental buff. Not saying it will lessen ganking at all. quite the opposite, but it unbalances empire a bit

The only thing that has a long term effect on plex prices are how willing people are to pay $ for EVE. It's supply (people willing to pay $) versus demand (people not willing to pay $.)
Players keep thinking inflation is an issue. It's not. All this "new highsec income" doesn't exist... if you're talking about incursions, that income is well balanced by LP as an isk sink (according to a dev quote I don't have a link for, probably on the old forums.)
Plex prices on the rise right now are because there's no end game in EVE. Or rather, the end game is "join a blob fest, blob, get bored, stop paying $ because you're bored." All these "buddy account specials" aren't helping the price either, since people are using them as plex funded alts more than actually inviting buddies. People don't invite their real friends to play a game that they're bored with. Those people might have some spare isk because they are no longer losing carriers, dreads, battleships, and other expensive stuff in big wars, using that isk to upgrade sov, nor are they investing their time in building their corp instead of building personal assets.
There have got to be a LOT of fascinating economics stuff going on right now, but we'll never see an in depth analysis over it since they killed the QEN because in this case interesting = bad for CCP. |

well as a person who has a few accts and plays eve for free. i can say tht at the price the plexs are now. i probally wont continue to play. for me 400-600m is a deal breaker as i spend most of my time grinding for isk. it leaves little to no time for actuall play time. |

That's where we hit another supply/demand wall... people willing to grind 400-600m isk per account vs people not willing. Those that aren't will start unsubbing accounts, decreasing demand on plex allowing the price to stabilize at some point.
I guess what might be an even more deciding factor is if CCP can convince people who aren't willing to pay $ to change their minds. That would be a more interesting thread topic. |

Same here, i've let six of my accounts lapse, this one will lapse also in 1 day 19 hrs, i will not be back till plex come back to at least 350m.
The problem lies with the idiots paying 450m for a plex. |

What is this "Bear buff"?
How does it have anything to do with PLEX prices?
...and possibly unrelated but: Is CCP going to interfere w/ the market to try to bring down PLEX prices, or what?
Sorry I'm not following... if someone could bring me up to speed real kwik that'd be super-swell thx...

Darn Conudrum of supply and demand.
With Plexes though demand is always gauranteed as well as supply. So we have to take a step up and have to make the back end of demand ie willingness to pay for the provided supply. Well eventually reach a point where the demand will start refusing to pay for the supply and the supply wont be selling thus leading to undercuts just to sell.
The only real ways ccp could ever possibly fix the issue is to either artifically inject plexes which makes them lose money. Or lower the plex prices in order to raise supply to the point suppy over squashing demand which ccp would lose not as much money. Either way its a real pickle as its real money and commodity being valued at virtual money.

naw its more like, i have skyrim amongst other games i can play, that dont require me to be abused on a daily basis. i have been playing since 06, but it seems now is the worst time to play. if you can call it that. when i have to grind 3-4b a monthto pay for chars. then another 2-4b for ships or whatever then it doesnt leave a lot of real play time to be had, again it goes back to eve as a job factor. and as far as paying rl cash to ccp to play. hmm well i did that my first year, wont do it again as they dont listen to the customers who actually pay them. |

well we can also thanks ccp with that whole buy 13 plexs for 200 deal they ran that back to back for like a month. this was really supposed to drive prices down, clearly it only raised it. a lot of speculation has gone around it this is a player/market test. well let me say from my side i wont play any more i have let 4 chars go inactive when prices hit 380m this acct has 30 days left and if prices are higher then that i wont be around till they lower. |

If she is anything like me, she is wise, i have a golden pot stashed away with over 40billion isk, amongst my other characters i produce enough drakes in a month to pay for plex's on all accounts and a little for my golden pot. But the plex price is stupid atm and i have to draw a line somewhere. |

Think about it for a moment, if you bought plex with RL cash, would you sell it on the market for 350mil now? Would you be a idiot to do so?
