Our CEO up and left the game of Eve because of changes CCP made to the game and punished us all by not handing out shares and no way of reviving our corps. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to and when you have your stuff locked down you can never get it back again. I would Like there to be something added that when there Account lays dormant /doesn't log on for more than (X) time voting can then occur in the members whom are left in the corporation. I think this is fair since everything in the game is created and should only be destroyed by battle. Please CCP Look into this and make changes to a flawed system. Please comment with below all whom support my movement for change! I am not telling CCP what time frame this shall be but it should be reasonable for all party's. Why should a Corporation die because of some guy that decided to be a jerk and leave the game and screw it up for all its members. |

In the past. and i only saw this like once and it was a really long time ago, someone petitioned and because the ceo had been inactive for a while, i forget how long, they were able to somehow reclaim the corp. Again, do not quote me, it was a random post from like 4-6 years back.
But yes, there are lots of things with corp management that need a total over haul. |

I have no problem with starting a new corp. However what about all the BPO's I have locked down in the current being cap and battleship bpos I would stand to lose billions of isk by doing that. This is why it is a current issue that should be looked at going forward with this game. I myself don't really wish to leave the corp I would however like to be able to grow it and again and get more members that are active. The problem being is I can't lock the new BPO's down to keep them safe from new members that may just run off with them. But the bottom line is when someone is in active for lets say 1 year being fair I think CCP should step in and help with new ownership of the current corp which In most cases can be done by vote with whomever is left within the corp. Please look into making some changes to the current system a paying custumer whom is online and is active should be allowed to take over in this case regardless of shares after (x) amount of time passes. Please CCP Help!! |

Even an option to vote in a second officer that has the powers to arrange the divisions and lock down new prints would be acceptable. The concept of a corporation is to work as a group to a common goal. I am not trying to take anything that is not already mine. However If after 1 year goes by and that player is inactive everything but your toon should be passed on to active members. The corp leader didn't acquire the entire contents of the corp himself it was made a whole. Even better yet after current issues are solved hopefully. How about allowing the owners of the BPO's to lock them down with password themselves, which would also allow for removal from corp with out one person with all the power. The point of locking a print down within a corp is so we all can share it. I think to make it safer going forward that an individual toon can lock there own prints down with in a corp and remove them with there password. This allows for sharing that BPO within any corp with no risk to the owner of that BPO. If that was the case currently I would have no argument today. To say this would be to hard to make happen should not be said everything in this game relates to world currency and we need to look at safer ways to invest into a corp with out getting screwed by the CEO when they decide they had enough of this game. If they don't wanna hand out share to there members then there should be other ways to gain ownership in the event of them leaving the game of Eve. |

Screw one year. Characters that are not on an actively PLEX'd account should lose the entirety of their permissions. Not paying your bills has always had it's repercussions, as we all have seen. Why not here? Couple that with releasing assets when no remaining corp members have permissions for the hangars.

Bump! Please bring this Issue to light. I may not be able to help myself here but how about some simple changes to a flawed system.
In the future of Eve How about allowing All Players with in a Corp to be Able to Lock Down there Own Prints with a private password of there choosing. This way if the Corp leader leaves and never returns you can still recover your stuff. Also be able to add more to the collective with out the risk of ever losing it. I hope that in the new expansion this options can be added. It already exists for Containers and stuff with in the corporation the only issue is sharing it to others. |

Have you submitted a ticket in the support system?
You never know, when the GMs eventually get around to looking at it, they might actually be able to help. After all, that's what they are there for (not always to help, but at least to read and laugh).
Raising the issue through a ticket will also guarantee that it will be seen by a GM who has influence on game development and changes.

I have submitted a Ticket and they Told me to post here. If enough people become aware of this and support this Group, Change can happen. They told me basically there is nothing that can be done. I know thats crap because they have the power to do whatever they want. The whole reason I am in the mess is because they Spawned free stuff for Somer Blink Group. For hosting Eve Las Vegas. My Ceo thought this was favoritism and he has played this game for 4 plus years and basically felt this was unfair to all players of Eve. As a result he left the game and has not returned since. |

This happend a lot of times. And I know GM's helped in the past (from a personal experience). If your initial petition doesn't lead anywhere, ask to have it escelated to a senior GM. Although probabl a few factors invovled such as how long your CEO been gone, if your character got any sort of roles in the Corp and so on.

I have a confession.
I generally think very little of forum alts.
And all these "My CEO screwed things up for my corp on a whim" and "My Alliance Leader disbanded DoD on a whim" posts just make me think "Space Rich people problems".
But I'll summon the willpower to say something constructive.
OP, you need to make a structured list of feature ideas (and you need to really think the mechanics through) instead of throwing ideas at a wall and see if they stick.
Then you need to post it in Features and Ideas.
And avoid breaking forum etiquette. You're sort of discussing GM responses, rumor mongering and other things that are apt to get this thread locked and it would be a shame.
Good luck. I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

If the CEO has not logged in for 35 days, any director should be able to call a vote to take over as CEO (ignore shares, they do not work - other vote mechanic needed, or the take over corp vote on shares need to only be available after CEO has been absent for 35 days).
In the case there are no directors (if your corp has no directors you should get some), there need to be another mechanic, possible a vote where all members get to vote on 1 person from a list of all current active members to take over.
Reason the time is based on CEO not online and not linked to payment of account, is people might pay for several years.
Reason the voting should take place between Directors, is that since they were intrusted to be directors, they should be trusted people with interest in the corps well being.
Reason it is 35 days, is it's tested and tried elsewhere (DDO).

It's not CCP's fault, it's your CEO's fault, and you for tolerating an unreliable one-man leadership structure. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

This.
Don't feel the rush to join a corporation without first understanding continuity. This notion of putting timers on a CEO based on how long since they were logged in last does not take into consideration those who may not have the opportunity to login for x number of days (e.g. military members being deployed on short notice. And by 'short' I mean like 30 minutes.).

Hi all thank you all for your comments I appreciate you all for posting here. I do have access with in the corp have my own department. Also the CEO we had was a really good guy he was on every single day and it seemed like all was well for almost a year. I really have no problem with the prints being locked down as I want to share them to members anyways. The problem is that I can't lock down new prints and I can't expand the corp with out that ability. I have 600 US invested here in BPO's it would be a shame not to be able to have new member whom can benefit from them as well.
The best way for CCP to fix this issue would be to allow anyone with a role to add a print and lock it down Via their own private password. So that in the future in the event the CEO does not come back it doesn't mean the end for a corp and to all whom invested in this corp. The same password would also be able to unlock said BPO.
Please anyone with experience bring change to Eve please help me out and link your ideas here or new Thread in the right location.
Thank you all. |

Not only are you bumping a post within 24 hours of inadvertently bumping it by answering questions, but you are bumping in a forum that doesn't even allow bumps, not to mention the fact that a bump must consist of more than the word 'bump' in order for it to be a legitament bump. To top it all off you aren't even posting a topic like this in the right subforum!
If you expect CCP to even consider your ideas without paying attention to even the most basic of forum rules, then you have another thing coming. Honor is a fools prize. Glory is of no use to the dead.

35 days to remove a CEO? Are you kidding me?
No.
Just....no.
It sucks that you invested a lot into the corp, but it's not YOUR corp. it's your CEO's corp. And anything put into the corp hangars and locked down belong to the Corp. As soon as it is put into the Corp Hangars, these items no longer belong to you. If you didn't realize this, it's nobody's fault but your own. You may have bought them, but they are now the Corporation's property.
The CEO sounds like a pretty smart guy, not handing out shares so he could be summarily removed from his leadership position in a corp that, it sounds like, he put a lot of work into building up. Now, it sounds like he's having IRL stuff or he got bored with EVE. |

An honorable ceo would have chosen a successor to run the Corp after he left. Your ex ceo sounds like a total **** and deliberately damaged the ability of his Corp mates to have fun without him. This has nothing to do with somer blink.
As a community we're all better of without him.
Kudos to you for stepping up to the plate and trying your best to keep the corp running.
