Setups? A lot of the people you'd really want to share their setups with you haven't bothered assembling this ship yet due to the continuing wait for a dev response assuring us that it will recieve some sort of un-nerfification as it's DPS is still sadly below not only other CBCs, but it's little brother the cerbie.
That useless bit of complaining aside, you might want to be a bit more specific about what it is you'd like to do with your Nighthawk.

Edited by: Britannica on 20/04/2006 16:13:42 a couple of my friends have nighthawks, we even tested a nighthawk against my ferox, I set up my ferox with 1 T2 invul field, 1 named damage controls and 2 T2 kinetic hardeners, 1 shield extender and 5 limos heavy launchers. the nighthawk had a similar setup (damage control swaped for second BCU)
after a couple of minutes his nighthawk was at 50% shields while my ferox was at 60% till then niether of us had turned on our shield boosters. this does offer some proof that the nighthawk needs some attention
it could also be used a proof that by knowing your ship and your opponent you can beat T2 ships with a T1 ship
6 heavy launchers in high sheild booster, large extender, rat specific hardeners in meds 2 BCU/3 PDS or 3 BCU/2 PDS that should be more than enough to see that ship through most missions

If you forget that combat ships are supposed to deal damage, then nothing. If you think you should be able to hurt people in it, though, you might object to a DPS average roughly equivelent to what can be dished out by a ****ed off toy poodle.

perhaps I should have posted detailed setups as I remember, until we started using shield boosters I was doing slightly more total damage. he had 2 BCU2 and 3 PDS2 in the lows, I had 1 BCU2 2 PDS2 and a named damage control he could keep his booster going longer than I could keep mine going
I was trying to point out that both ships with appropriate skills and good setups are almost level

I find it hard to believe a ferox wouldn't perish under the barrage of 6 T2 heavy launchers with heavy missile spec L4 and 3 BCU2's, no matter what it's setup is.

a ferox can easily withstand 6 T2 launchers L4 spec and 2 BCU2s with 92% kinetic resists (about 25 - 30 damage per missile) so with 3 BCU2s it will still last a long time
when using high damage heavies a ferox likely wont last long enough to get a nighthawks shields to 75%

ive heard of Armor tanked caldari before, real suprise to enemies from what i hear because people usually figure a ferox(or related) as dead when shields go down.
