Excellent guide! I hope to see more. Another downside to doing business in the State that I recently discovered is that the markets are saturated! There is a lot of competition making it hard to get into the market and even harder to stay there. This isn't just limited to megacorporations, but other capsuleers as well. There are people who will literally fight you 24/7 over one cent.

LOVE the Federation guide! However one thing you forgot to memtion is that the Federation has higher taxes due to our more socialized economy. While this does give us fantastic infrastructure and services, it does detract from profits.

I've always been satisfied with the Republic when it comes to investments. Everything is "start-up" there so there are more than enough opportunities to get ridiculously massive returns on an investment.
However one thing to be careful of in the Republic, despite it's strict legal system, there are still a myriad of crime groups (mostly the Cartel) and terrorist organizations. While this isn't a problem in areas heavily linked to interstellar trade (where you will be doing the majority of your investing) it's pretty bad in more rural and undeveloped areas of the Republic. Other nations have them too yes, but not as much.
