Cold anyone please give a reasonable answer to this question, and that includes forum mods.
Why do Crystal implants not work on carriers? And from what i understand it is just Crytals. That means that the armour tanking carriers, the amar, can use there version of the pirate implants to increase there armour bonuses and such but the poor caldari ones loose out been that there implants, the crystal set do not work on the capital shield booster. Its raiest! In my opinion its completely unaxceptable and should be sorted out in one of two ways, make it that no pirate implants work on capital ships, or change it that the Crytal bonuses do work on the capital ship booster!

Time to get to max speed isnt affected by the speed atall. A Phoenix doing 100m/s will enter warp just as fast as a Phoenix doing 150m/s. |

I wouldn't know. The Phoenix is the only ship I fly that isn't a frigate. _________________________________________________________

Just wondering--have you ever tried filling your low slots with nanofibers on a Phoenix? How fast does it go, and how fast does it accelerate? And how effectively does it bump things?

If we could still activate multiple microwarpdrives at the same time, I'd load on a bunch of 100MNs and give it a try. But we can't >_< _________________________________________________________

One 100mn MWD should at least give you a 50% speed boost.

I got a Chimera up to 300 meters a sec with nanos and a 100mn MWD.
Flew sideways most of the time.

Might have something to do with Crystal implants being absurdly overpowered.

They don't cost a billion because they're good; they cost a billion because they're rare. They ARE good, but they're not a billion ISK good. ________________________________________________

Yea Ok. 1st: I would pay 1 Billion right now for a HG Crystal Set 2nd: They cost at about 2.5 Billion per set. 3d: They are both RARE & GOOD.
That said, WTB: a HG Crystal Set for 1 billion ISK (Have ISk ready)

So would a lot of people. Nevertheless, their actual VALUE is nothing like that high. It's only shortage of supply that causes them to be so expensive. ________________________________________________

im guessing its because a Capitol is so powerfull allready and the fact CCP wants them to be strictly fleet ships and need backup to survive.

If you believe you are experiencing a bug, you should submit a bug report with as much information as you can give
You can use the "Bug Reporting" link on the left hand side, or just click this shortcut which goes to the same place

no its not a bug, been in contact with ccp and they have told us that they willl not work on capital ships and that is how it is supposed to be, in fact pilots are getting them officially unplugged because of that

The armor bonus is a flat number, a big boost to toughness but not unstoppable.
However, Crystal implants combined with capital shield boosters would be an unstoppable tank.

Or boost amps, which iirc, don't work with them either.
A Dread with a faction boost amp or 2, capital booster, and HG crystal set would repair titan superweapon damage in a single boost (because they'd have hardened the tank).

if you're right, this ****es me off...
why would CCP be anything else than the "designer of the world"
we dont need freaking balance, we just want to see what we expect and plan turn true!
it's a first step there if you're right but this could lead to :
i'm going with 40 friends to kill a lvl 1 frigate
"sorry, you cant"
we would be complete asses to go gang a lvl 1 frigate with 40 people, but the game mechanics should be kept away from the fairness of the situations ! -

You would boost 12779.52 shields per cycle if you could use crystal set + 30% amp. Which is 1277.952 shields/second. It burns through 240energy/second though. Without implant or amp, its 640hp/s.
Two Capital Armor reps would give you 640hp/s, I'm not sure if you can dual rep Capitals though. Uses 160energy/second.
Honestly I think slave set working on capitals can be just as imbalancing as crystal set due to the fact you can use energized adaptive nanos to get pretty crazy resists and the rather efficient energy consumption of armor repairers.. oh well.
Shield tanks can be pretty impressive with the implants and boost amps but they hardly ever have much staying power most shield tanks capacitors die pretty quickly. ------ FPDOMS MINER KILLBOARD |

if people want to pay out big for these implant sets, let them use, this game will get silly if we are told what we are alowed to do and what we are not alowed to do. if ccp don't want crytals to be used on capital shield boosters, why did they put them there in the first place?
