Do you keep most of your value tied up in Assets, or do you fill your wallet with ISK?
I keep most tied up in assets myself. Minerals, certain ships, doomsday devices.. you know, things people want and are guaranteed to rise in value over time.

assets are built up as u never know when u need quick access and something "isnt" on the market - other assets are quickly turned over for an ISK profit.
Escrow sniping esp 100m HACs being resold for 240m within 12 hours is a good money spinner.
But assets can be turned into quick ship setups - quick mineral stockpiles and can be given to corp mates as well.

going through ships is the end cycle for most. Some make their game an economic warfare opportuntiy a bit like paper based share trading. They see how well they can compete against the rest of the market

There seems to be a paranormal block on my wallet...or a bug maybe, anybody else got that?
It simply cant go above 300mill before it pops down to ~50 for some reason.

Problem is that is at about 50-60 stations in different regions.
Opening assets = about 10-30s loading time

If u have 50-60 stations of assets simply create a few player courier missions - ppl out there love doing those esp in high sec have a reasonable payment.

Erm both really, I acrue loads of assets, then realise they are taking so much space. The other day I tidied up, took me hours to shift it all to one place. Then shoved it all into reprocessor couldnt be bothered to try and sell all the trash so turned it into minerals.

Isk for the most part (I'd say 80% atleast) right now. 6 months or so ago it would of been more assets but I went through and had a garage sale. Been thinking of trimming the fat again lately. Still too many ships that I don't really use.
One thing I REALLY regret selling was my Cerberus though. I ended up comming out ahead by about 20mil from my original purchase price but DANG they are REALLLY expensive now (not to mention I've been kind of itching to fly one again but I won't pay those prices). 
Garage sales good. Garage sale without thinking ahead badddd.

Assets for me. I keep a pretty healthy wallet but also have a lot of loot drops sat in stations wich could net me millions if sold. But, until I'm really short of cash, why sell them?

I reprocess junk. Sell the next step up at hubs. Sell the next step up at hot spots and then keep the good stuff for myself.

Currently I can see it happening a little but it wont be too significant til more outposts and capital ships arrive on the scene.

Our current corporate balance sheet shows the following breakdown:
25% Cash
39% Minerals Inventory
5% Finished Goods Inventory
9% Implant Inventory
9% Blueprints
8% Ships
5% Ship Equipment
Our sales turnover is pretty good right now...not much tied up in finished goods inventory.
Cash is a little high...probably about time for a distribution to our shareholders
We tend to carry a large minerals inventory because we are somewhat active in minerals trade as well as manufacturing.

the rest in ships and stuff.

The minmatar one would be a pick-axe. The amarr one don't need any, they just get minmatars mine for them. The caldari one would probably only serve as a trade commodity.

My networth is about 70% ISK and 30% in assets. Although after I lost my Armageddon and didn't bother to replace and did a bit of spring cleaning in my hangars it it is more like 80% ISK and 20% assets.

My isk usually stays kind of steady, always hovering around 100 million, sometimes exceeding 200, sometimes dropping below 10 million; however, my assets continually expand.
This isn't a concious decision, it's just something which tends to happen over time.

I love my ships, i love my guns. I see a nice gun in my travels for a better price in my home region (Khanid) i pick it up. Not to re sell, just to have. Ill lend them to corp mates, or equip them to my own ships. I hardly have over 10mil in my wallet. Just recently i traded a megathron for a vigilant and 20mil isk. I thought it was a good deal i didnt care if i had lost money. Im also lazy and will probably but the closests thing to me.

Them not being sold doesn't make them any more valuble.
The amount that someone would pay for them does.
For example, If someone is willing to pay 100billion for a Cerb BPO, it's worth 100bil. If nobody's willing to buy the BPO at all, it's worthless, technically speaking.
Value is really only measured in what you would get in exchange for it, not the availiblity. I can't imagine anyone would pay 75bil for an impoc even if GHSC were to sell either of them.

The ISK is replaceable, the Imperial Apocalypse is not. That alone makes it more valuable than the ISK :P
Either way, the value of something is not determined what what people are willing to pay for it, it's determined more by an amount where the seller and buyer can agree to a trade. Since he still has it, it means it's worth more than 30B. 75, though? Who knows, when you start getting up there, there are so few items being traded in that value range that there is no real measure on the value. Especially if the item simply sits in the hangar and gathers space-dust, like I'd imagine the Impoc does :P

well i would have to say i keep it in assets, like BS's are a good one for me, and t2 cruisers easy to move and they can fight back if you are moving them from point A to B
keep that in mind, but cash is also good to have you dont want to have to fit and you have no cash or assets
so try and keep it at a 50/50 25/75 would be byfar the best way to go about it
oh by the way, never fly anything you cant aford to lose i think its like 5 times over but keep that in mind.

I have about 75% isk and 25% assets currently, but the assets are on the market and they should be sold really soon, putting me back at 100% isk. I then invest 50% of my isk into assets and sell them to make it 100% isk again. That way I can keep track of how much I'm worth, and if I need all the isk for anything I can easily obtain it.

Smart people invest their isk
I invested most of my iskies in Capital Component BPO's, battleship BPO's and a load of shares in my corp's t2 production wing investment-scheme.
I think it's about 7b invested which makes me 600-700mil on a monthly basis.
Currently trying to get the wallet up to 2,5b to buy Capital ship skill, Carrier skill and a Thanatos + gear =/
It's not really working tho with tribute being the playing ground for like 8 different groups. FFS STOP SHOOTING ME o.0

Got about 900 mil in isk and in assests so 50/50 at the mo but the isk will go when bs lvl5 finsh's and i can drop a load on cap ships and then the carrier skill.

Isk depreciates. It would be daft to sit on a large amount. Might as well invest it in some 'lower than normal' priced commodity. So I'd say around < 5% in isk for me atm. Got a lot of T2 ships stashed away.
