I'm not sure I'd call a Bloa "good", but it's pretty funny to watch frigs and cruisers go up close expecting to take you down once they're under 10k.
BTW, blasters+harpy = Blarpy?

Edited by: Uninvited Guest on 26/09/2006 22:46:06 Using the following setup, with low skills and a bit of technique I managed to kill a 850k BS + 2 frigates spawn. Took a little armour damage while killing the frigs (had forgot to take drones with me) but the BS went down without too much problem.
4 Heavy Ion Blasters I 2 Medium NOS I
1 Afterburner I 1 Medium Shield Booster II 1 Stasis Webifier I 1 Warp Scrambler I (*)
2 Magnetic Field Stabilizers I 1 Power Diagnostic System I 1 Damage Control I
(*) I was set up for pvp. For pve I normally replace it with an Invulnerability Field I. I also killed a T2 wolf using that same setup, and got blown up to a gate camp a few minutes later. Well, the great thing about the Moa is that you can find it at 7M and insure it for 8M

For larger-fleet setups, I suggest drop the nos and reppers and put 2x HAM's in high slot. Also, no point with T2 stuff. Or much of a tank. It's not efficient on a T1 cruiser in a fleet fight. And a tank won't really make a difference. Setup is < 10mil generally.
4 x Blasters 2 x HAM --------- 1 x Photon Scattering 1 x AB 1 x Web 1 x Scram --------- 2 x MFS 1 x PDU 1 x DCU
Powergrid is a bit tight, but plenty of CPU spare if you want to use cheaper or non-named mods.

Rigs are cheap now. 1472 m/s max speed, cap lasts plenty long without it running, 24,000 effective hit points, 412 dps. Fits easily.

Anyone able to give me a good setup for mission running? Normally level 1-2's using blasters. Thanks :)
P.S. I'm a noob combater, so try to cut me some slack - thanks

You'll want rails for missions - they have the range you would otherwise try to cross to even be able to start firing. Thus, they end up with more damage output over time. Blasters are for PvP, where you are right on top of the enemy anyway (to keep them warp scrambled).

Phunkeh: for mission running, you'll likely want a Caracal. They're generally better for missions than a Moa until you've got a lot of gunnery skills in your head, and it doesn't sound like you have them.
Caracal
5x Heavy Missile Launcher
1-2x Large Shield Extenders 2-3x Mission specific Shield Hardeners
0-2x Ballistic Control Units 0-2x Power Diagnostic Units
If you must fly a Moa:
Moa
4x 200mm Rails 2x Heavy Missile Launchers or Assault Missile Launchers
1-2x Large Shield Extenders 2-3x Mission specific Shield Hardeners
2-3x Magnetic Field Stabilizers 1-2x Power Diagnostic Units
You may need to fit Tracking Computers or Tracking Enhancers if you have trouble hitting with your guns. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

Moa is poo if u want a good blaster boat, get a rax, and u will be laughing
Support the introduction of Blaze M crystals for Amarr! (Or make Amarr the only race able to deal EM damage from turrets). |
