I'm unsubbing.
Quote:32. "Quitting" posts are only permitted on the Out of Pod Experience channel.
CCP recognize that during the course of gameplay a lot of friendships are made between players and that sometimes if a player is taking a break or departing from the EVE universe that they would like to say goodbye on the forums. Posts of this nature are only permitted on the Out of Pod Experience forum, and must be civil and well worded.
No you can't have my stuff. I sent it to that potato enthusiast as he was the first to reply with his pants on. Seriously, Baltec WTF is wrong with you.
I HAVE HAD IT WITH THE GALLENTE!!!! IT'S ALWAYS DRONES THIS POTATOES THAT!! THEY'RE ALL A BUNCH OF SLACK JAWED, NO TALENT FREAKS!!!!
Quote:3. Ranting is prohibited.
A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.
At any rate, would this game be better without the Goons and CFC?
Quote:5. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.
And bumping as a valid mechanic? WTF were the GMs smoking that day? The whole lot of them should be whipped and beaten (in game).
Quote:30. Abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers is prohibited.
CCP operate a zero tolerance policy on abuse of CCP employees and ISD volunteers. This includes but is not limited to personal attacks, trolling, GÇ£outingGÇ¥ of CCP employee or ISD volunteer player identities, and the use of any former player identities when referring to the aforementioned parties. Our forums are designed to be a place where players and developers can exchange ideas in a polite and friendly manner for the betterment of EVE Online. Players who attack or abuse employees of CCP, or ISD volunteers, will be permanently banned from the EVE Online forums across all their accounts with no recourse, and may also be subject to action against their game accounts.
And last, but by no means least, Butterflies and moths both belong to the lepidoptera family.
Quote:15. Posting about bugs and exploits is prohibited.
Bugs and exploits should be reported through the proper channels. Bugs should be brought to the attention of CCP by filing a bug report for our Quality Assurance department. More information on filing bug reports can be found here. Discussions about unverified issues in game can cause unnecessary panic in the community. When there is an issue that the EVE Online community needs to be aware of, it will be communicated via an official statement from CCP after thorough investigation. Bump.
Quote:14. Bumping outside the EVE Marketplace and Alliance & Corporation Recruitment channels is prohibited.
The bumping of posts to alter the order of the thread listing on a forum is prohibited outside the EVE Marketplace and Alliance & Corporation Recruitment forum channels. Within the EVE Marketplace section of the forums, each forum category has its own rules regarding acceptable bumping for sales threads clearly listed in the stickies. Similarly the Alliance & Corporation Recruitment channel also has its own rules. Please be aware that the rules vary from forum to forum. Please review the sticky threads in these forum channels for specific details. "Grr Kimmi-á Nerf Chans!" ~Jenn aSide

Kimmi.. please
Quote:2. Be respectful toward others at all times.
The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Forum users are expected to be courteous when disagreeing with others.
and always remember to
Quote: 22. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.
but you forgot to mention your views on RMT, although you wouldn't be able to talk about them because
Quote: 21. Posting regarding RMT (Real Money Trading) is prohibited.
Posts discussing, linking to, or advertising RMT, including but not limited to the sale of in game items, assets, currency, characters or game accounts for real life money are strictly prohibited.

Quote: 26. Off-topic posting is prohibited.
Off-topic posting is permitted within reason, as sometimes a single comment may color or lighten the tone of discussion. However, excessive posting of off-topic remarks in an attempt to derail a thread may result in the thread being locked, or a forum warning being issued.
and lets remember that
Quote:19. All posts must be related to EVE Online.
Posts regarding other companies and products or services are prohibited and any content of this nature will be removed. Posts regarding other games are however permitted on the Out of Pod Experience forum for the purposes of discussion only.
I also hope that by quoting you im not pyramid quoting...because
Quote: 13. Pyramid quoting is prohibited.
Pyramid quoting is a response to a forum thread that contains the quotes of four or more previous posters, sometimes with additional spaces added unnecessarily. This kind of posting often distorts the layout of the forums and can cause issues with readability for some users.

I think they are trying some new things and are taking some risks that I find very interesting. I've been a fan of the franchise for some time and am excited to see the MMO translation. I think too many devs look at WoW for guidance with good cause. It is, after all, the most successful MMO ever. This has caused the development of way too many clones and I don't like clones (they're creepy and cost too much once you have a lot of SP). But I played the beta this past weekend and was more than impressed with the direction they're going.

I may be wrong but I just cant see this ending well for the Elder Scrolls brand. I think that its just a way of grabbing as much cash as fast as possible over the success of the last few years. And then likely jump ship.
Its why im 100% glad that the rumor of a Fallout MMO was never proven, I can only hope that it stays to its roots, hell you never know, if Wasteland 2 turns out as good as it currently seems they might look at a Fallout Tactics 2 again. I was gutted when they axed that. |

I don't think so. I think that, much like Eve, there is a greater flexibility in character development. I love the fact that there is not a "tank" class or a "healer" class. I suppose it's only a matter of time until the min/maxers come along and ruin the game with their, "You need X, Y, and Z to be successful at anything", horseshit. My thoughts are that so long as Zenimax stays true to the spirit of the franchise everything will be okay.

They are doing everything in their power to nickle and dime customers. The whole Imperial class fiasco really establishes this point. As neat as the game may seem, I think the principles need to speak louder this time. They are Call of Dutying, World of Warcrafting, Battlefielding and Sim Citying the Elder Scrolls franchise all at once.
If us Elder Scrolls fans can just keep from buying the game for a few months, we can send a clear message that we won't take this kind of crap. If we just fork up the cash like idiots... well, we'll be paying another $80 next year again I promise.

I've seen a lot of this kind of thing lately. Seriously Dad? How dare this company make money? I am sending a clear message that I like the direction I see things going and that I want to see frequent and intelligent content enhancements. I still remember when RIFT went F2P - there has not been an expansion since, unless you count additions to the cash shop and a new crafting skill designed for the sole purpose of making crap for player owned dimension.
If you want to play an an Imperial buy the CE. It has nothing to do with fairness. It rewards people that choose to make a greater investment in the game and a greater investment in future content.
Also, put some ******* clothes on Dad! You're freaking everyone out!

Fishing, with no point to it and as for the class thing. Most people still went with specific class types. I went mage so obviously I wanted to grind those skills. The further I got the less I was inclined to switch training for dual wield mele for example.

Fishing, with no point to it and as for the class thing. Most people still went with specific class types. I went mage so obviously I wanted to grind those skills. The further I got the less I was inclined to switch training for dual wield mele for example. Your making a mistake leaving bro but i'll bet you will be right back after a week in that game ^.^
My experience was much different than yours I guess. I found myself getting lost and enjoying the fact that I was getting lost. You could grind quests like a super uber questy guy if you so chose but I had more fun just poking around all over the place, popping open chests, collecting crafting crap, and finding new and interesting stuff. If you're only interest is getting to the maximum level in as few hours as possible, questing is surely the way to go. If, however, you're in no rush to be the super badass ***** on wheels, uber asskicker from hell, it is anything but what you're describing.
As I stated, I may be back. I do not dismiss that idea at all. But it would be irresponsible of me to hate on a game before it even launches and not, as a long time fan of the franchise, participate and contribute to this latest endeavor.

Well Kimmi as the holder of your stuff already, one will not be asking for it. But one does respect your decision, even though you suck for making it. (In a respectful way ofc)

I feel most sorry for Jeff.
Now whenever he posts in the forum, people will try to call him by a name that even he has difficulty with.
Ah who am I kidding, I feel most sorry for me. Potatoes have feeling too.

Well, i can fly most of the dinosaur/bird ships. But I'm missing BS5. It'll be good to have a reason to train it. My rattler will appreciate it too. I'm still on the fence for ESO.
I really want it to be a great game, but I think I'll wait a bit until the hype cools off and see what's up then.
Either way, I'll still be playing this game. Lots of room for more than one game at a time in my so called life. I'm glad to see you are not dumping your characters, Kimmi. That would be a mistake, in my opinion.

The worst crime that ESO has committed that you people are forgetting is the settings of each of the continents/individual areas.
Cyrodiil was supposed to be a sprawling tropical jungle with forests and mountains, sprawling rivers and a big valley in the middle. It was many things and was at heart diverse.
Then ESO came along and decided that was too interesting (or hard to recreate, who knows). They decided it was more suitable that it was a generic medieval location. To make it worse, all references to Cyrodiil from the books in the previous games were simply translated wrong, it was a "transcription error".
The Summerset Isles were widely renowned to have glass architecture, that is, whole cities made of glass. "a hypnotic swirl of ramparts and impossibly high towers, designed to catch the light of the sun and break it to its component colors, which lie draped across its stones until you are thankful for nightfall."
THEN ESO CAME ALONG AND DECIDED GLASS IS TOO INTERESTING. NOPE, YOU GET MORE GENERIC MEDIEVAL SETTINGS.
AND DONT EVEN ASK ABOUT THE ALLIANCES THAT THE RACES HAVE FORMED.
