I stopped playing two years ago (just before the Shiva release), and decided to subscribe again yesterday.
But I'm wondering whether or not I should keep my old character.
It has a bit more than 3,5 millions skill points. But its creation skill points don't really appear balanced and usefully chosen :
Gallente - Gallente : Intelligence : 6 Perception : 8 Charisma : 12 (!) Willpower : 7 Memory: 6.
Here's the question: should I create a new character, or is this one worth keeping it? Is charisma still as useless as it was two years ago?
I'm not really in the know of the news things Shiva / RMR / etc added.
What would you do if you were me?
Thanks in advance.
(PS : English is not my native language, please don't judge my English too severly. )

People like to make Achura alts, after the new bloodlines came out. Something about the stat bonus or w/e.
Your English is fine. Much better than some of the threads done by others, some of whom speak English as their primary language.
p.s. Are you from Scandinavia? I've always wanted to know if people from Sweden/Norway/Iceland talk like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets. Sverdie sverdie sverdie!

Charisma is vaguely more useful than it used to be. You can get quite uber gang skills very quickly with it. If you plan on running a corp, trading or agent running it is also extremely useful.
It does come with the huge disability of totally shafting your other attributes if it is too high though. I currently have 27 charisma. Whilst it is a pain and training dreads/cap ships seems like it takes forever, it hasn't stopped me knocking up 40m skillpoints, although i would prefer to have put a little more into perception and willpower.
If I only had 3.5m skillpoints I would reroll.

You can always sell this toon fro 300 mill or so, and make yourself a new Achura main with high Intel+Perception attribs. That way you will have a starting capital for allot of skills.
At least this what I would do.

Damn! I always wanted to get off the airplane and find a smock garbed, red moustached, spatula wielding denizen of the North. Man, I really used to dig the Muppets.
Sverdie, sverdie, sverdie.

It's all lies, that Swedish chef isn't Swedish at all, he's just part of a conspiracy to make us Swedes look bad. And when I find out who is behind it all...

What do you mean by "sell this toon for 300 mill or so"?
Thanks for the advices. And no, I'm French, not from Scandinavia.

Check out the Sell Orders forum - people sell their characters now. You can pay a small fee (in real money unfortunately) to CCP and transfer a character from one account to another, so people now regularly buy & sell characters.

My Achura alt is 45 days old and already has 2.2m SP's...I'd reroll with that much disgusting charisma.

Sure, but you've got to think about how long it would take to make back that 3.5 mil SP. That's probably around 2.5-3 months gametime, it'll be a long time to make it back IMO. I say just keep the character and take comfort in the fact that you're not a cookie-cutter character
Really, do you really want to go through the grind of learning all those basic skills again? That's another question you should ask yourself.

You know, there is one speck of truth in that character. During the seventies NBC had this cooking show. The regular chef got sick and the producers threw in whoever they had at hand; a Swedish chef. Poor sod doesn't know a word of English, or rather, not nearly enough for TV. So when he's on the air, he gets mighty nervous and starts talking to himself, describing what he does. But in Swedish of course! Not a single soul understands what he's saying and a piece of TV legend is born.
I've heard many theories regarding the creation of the Swedish Chef but this is the most plausible one as well as coming from a somewhat reliable source.
Och ja, det Sr rStt kul med svenskar i EVE
