After seeing the concepts at http://www.asgeirjon.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=5 i was wondering where the turrets actually are on the Gallente BS. At first, i thought they were on the front and back (circled in red), but they seem to be a bit long and wierd in that position.
Then i noticed 8 little green glowy boxes along the bottom (circled in blue), maybe the guns will be there?
I circled what i meant in this picture: BS with turret points circled

Well, personally, I'd imagine the weapons to be around that freaking huge engine ring, as it gives you a wider firing solution for weapons. I wouldn't take much stock in the concept art for where the weapons are going to be, the artists like to add lots of random squiggles onto them, and after all it's only concept art, which gets simplified in game.

Well, things like turret placement is usually kept the same while other details are changed.

Either way, both of those hardpoints (or guns if they are on the front or back) are far too small to fit something that is suited to that ship.
Seriously, battleship guns should be big, it looks ridiculous to have the peashooters on battleships there are now. It needs to look scary. (In my opinion, of course.)

I agree. I should be able to see two things on a battleship from a distance. The engine, and the massive guns that are training on my ship.

There was a thread a few months back about making the turrets look bigger.
Somebody posted a picture of a Megathron with HUGE turrets, they looked perfect on the ship, I wish I'd saved it.

Seriously though, we need another angle on that ship...
And BS turrets nead to be bigger.
Look at a 1000mm railgun, then look at a 425mm railgun. The 425 looks like far less then half the size.

Yes, it's definitely not right. Frigs have these massive guns that seem almost as long as some of them, but all larger ships have pea-shooters that look less effective than frig turrets.

I too share some of these concerns. guns on battleships look terribly tiny now, and at least from the style that ship looks pretty massive... ::tries to evade head-in-gutter-ness::
I think with the size of guns as they likely will be, it will hardly be visible, so not really matter.
but I think arrayed along the sides of the front part would make sense. though admittedly it'd make it so there woudl seem to be a blind spot in the back... meh.
honestly another view really is needed to make a decent say.

Hmmm.. Ok I guess but I would like to see a pic from anotehr angle...
looks like a bashed up iron short sword. ...so it could be named Gladius.
or butt-plug...
