Yeah, its a real shame 6800GS AGP arent being made anymore, but PCI-E is over 1.5 years old now, and theyre really aggressive about phasing AGP out now.

Clean the old TIM off with some acohol and a lint-free cloth, before a applying a very small drop of TIM in the center of the die.

yea it is kinda sad, i got a new system just because of that. AGP is still so capable as we arent even maxing it out yet
